Huge congratulations to two of our clients, Chase Renton of L'Angolo Estate and Rick Bonitati of Sequoia Grove Winery , on their nominations for the 2026 Wine Enthusiast Wine Star Awards! 🎉

Chase is nominated for Innovator of the Year for his work behind Resilience, a Willamette Valley Pinot Noir inspired by his own mental health journey. 100% of proceeds from wine sales support the Kevin Love Fund , while the label’s kintsugi-inspired design celebrates the beauty of embracing imperfections rather than hiding them.

Rick is nominated for Wine Executive of the Year for his leadership at Sequoia Grove, where he has spearheaded vineyard development, acquisitions and sustainability initiatives, including the adoption of 100% renewable energy and Napa Green certification. He has also championed wildfire relief, land conservation and service dog programming, bringing that same commitment to the broader community.

We’re so proud to see both Chase and Rick recognized for the meaningful work they’re doing within the wine industry and beyond. Congratulations! 🥂

Sta. Rita Hills Celebrated 75 years of grape growing this weekend at its annual Wine & Fire event. What an honor to visit the vineyard where it all began, Sanford & Benedict, for the launch “barn party,” and then to be present at ALMA ROSA WINERY Thursday evening for an epic dinner honoring Richard Sanford, who first planted Pinot Noir grapes in the region in 1971. So many great winemakers have stood on the shoulders of this giant and were at the event to celebrate him and his wife Thekla. Wow!! Dinner featured a vertical of Alma Rosa from over the years, and an incredible meal from fulloflifefoods Special thanks to Matt Kettmann for giving Richard a great introduction.

Excited to be working with in Willamette Valley’s Dundee Hills AVA! Chase Renton planted this vineyard to Pinot Noir and Chardonnay over two year period in 2012-13 after learning his craft in Italy and Burgundy. The estate is organically farmed, dry farmed. In 2023, good friends Tracy and Aaron Kendall began making their own brand, Folly of Man at L’Angolo and soon after, Chase invited Tracy to consult. She became full-time Winemaker in 2024. The winery is small, but the talent trust is huge here. Visitors to the region should absolutely put L’Angolo on a must visit list to taste these exquisite wines in one of the most welcoming and gorgeous settings in the region. Not pictured here was the cozy fire place and the incredible cheese and charcuterie plate that comes each L’Aperitivo flight. We had the opportunity to work with Chase when he launched Resilience Pinot Noir to benefit the Kevin Love Fund and are so honored to continue our work with the estate. Good people doing good things, making great wine. 🙏❤️🍷

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Gerret Copeland, our friend and the proprietor of Bouchaine Vineyards, on May 28th in his home state of Delaware.

Gerret and his wife Tatiana transformed Bouchaine into what it is today. He believed that great wine was inseparable from great stewardship of the land, and that belief shaped everything we do here in Carneros. His passion for wine, nature, art, and community touched every corner of Bouchaine.

He lived a life of remarkable generosity and purpose, from his service in the Marine Corps to his lifelong dedication to conservation, the arts, and animal welfare.

We extend our deepest condolences to Tatiana, his family and the Bouchiane team.

We know that Bouchaine will carry his legacy forward in every bottle, every season, and every guest welcomed to the estate, a place he loved. We hope you’ll join us in raising a glass to his remarkable life.

A new Pinot Noir release from Oregon’s Dundee Hills is turning wine into a force for good. 🍷✨

This May, vintner Chase Renton of will debut Resilience, an estate Pinot Noir inspired by his personal mental health journey. The label represents kintsugi—a 500-year-old Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with gold powder to highlight the beauty in healing what’s been broken.

In alignment with Mental Health Awareness Month, 100% of all proceeds will benefit the , supporting mental health education and emotional well-being nationwide.

The wine will be available starting May 1 through L’Angolo Estate’s mailing list, tasting room and select Portland retailers.
