We had the absolute honor of welcoming the Crow Creek Hunk’pati Dakota Nation School for a special tour filled with young, eager learners ready to connect, explore, and discover the stories of those who came before them.
For the first time in history, we welcomed this tribal school to our site -and our hearts are full of gratitude. What a powerful reminder of the importance of preserving history, sharing knowledge, and creating spaces where our young people can see themselves reflected.
This visit was especially meaningful because our Assistant Director, Danica Miller, is an enrolled member of the Hunk’pati Dakota Nation. Seeing these students here, learning and smiling, was a full-circle moment -and she had to capture this special memory with them. ❤️
Wopida tanka to the Crow Creek Hunk’pati Dakota School for spending the day with us. We are honored to welcome you, and we hope this is the beginning of many more visits to come.
Our future is in the hands of our youth - and today, we saw the beauty of that future.
