If you've received an Esthetics service from me over the past year, virtually or in person, I would be so grateful if you would take a second to leave me a review on Google by clicking the link below šŸ¤

Thank you so much for supporting me and my dream - it means more to me than you will ever know!

We’ve reached the point in our friendship where words don’t do it justice.

Like when you try to show someone a picture of a place you’ve visited that altered your brain chemistry or when you tell stories about experiences that changed the trajectory of your life.

There’s no way to express it to someone else - has to be felt firsthand. You can see the surface… the length of our friendship… we have known eachother since we were the age our babies are now. But the depth of our relationship holds a value within those 30 years a million times over.

Hayley is my person. She is my best friend and all jokes aside, I know so many people call her a best friend - bc that’s just how she shows up in life.

She is there when anyone is in need. She sees the human first, without taking a moment to think about what they have done or could do for her.

She has boundaries and can definitely say no but when someone needs help, support or hype - you can count on her to be there without judgement, without expectations or an imaginary score card to be used as collateral guilt in the future. Partly bc she has a horrible memory šŸ˜‚ but mostly bc she is just a really good fu***ng person and friend.

I’m so grateful to know her. She makes me better and sometimes worse in the best ways (bc sometimes comedy is objective šŸ˜‚)

There is no one on earth like Hayley and I hope we die on the same day bc I don’t know what I’d do without her.

ILYSM, HBFAV šŸ¤āœØ HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

We love the results. We want the results. But paring excellent services with a unique, thoughtful and relaxing experience is what I want all of my clients to experience when they come in for their appointment.

Ya never know what Marketing hype to believe and what is just lip service - that’s why before I (and most everyone) buys or books anything, I look at the reviews.

Reviews are the most incredible thing a customer can do to help the provider, company, brand etc. AND their fellow consumer.

I’m so grateful for clients that take a little time out of their day to leave a review about their experience šŸ¤ now, more than ever, I make a point to go onto Google and Facebook and leave reviews whenever I buy something or receive a service I loved.

I also go to my Fb and IG to post about my experience bc I know that, in a world of loud marketing with big claims and paid ads - word of mouth is QUEEN. She speaks the truth on both ends of the spectrum and can create a ripple effect just the same šŸ’•

Good skin isn’t just about the products you use or what foods you eat… The health of skin also depends on your environment.

The environment around you and inside of your head. These are a collection of things that make me feel grounded and present. The last slide isn’t exactly ā€œhappinessā€ but it is part of life- feeling your way through things and instead of resisting change… letting go and allowing it to move you forward.

If we resist, hold it in and push it down - eventually it will wear on us.

While it is a fact that stress and the health of your skin is directly related - this is mostly a metaphor (one of my love languages) drawing a parallel between your life story and your skin’s story.

Because whether you realize it or not, your skin tells a story. It will tell you when your body needs help, when it needs more or less of something, when your gut is out of ā€œbalanceā€, when your hormone levels change, when chronic stress has pushed you beyond what your physical body can take leaving your skin to sound the alarm and put the figurative stake of the final red flag in the ground in the form of eczema, hives, or another form of dermatitis.

We have to find some pockets of goodness in the middle of the dark. If we don’t… what’s the point of all of this? We need to hold those moments in our palm and stare at them longer instead of constantly scrolling to someone else’s storyline in an attempt to numb or shame ourselves into doing more.

Just be in your story.

Take pictures of your tiny drops of happiness this week and don’t let anyone make you feel ridiculous for doing it. These moments make a life. The moments that make you close your eyes, drop your shoulders and release that breath you didn’t even realize you were holding in.

Then look back at them before the start of next week and hold those moments… the ones that you created and the ones that found you. It will help you feel less overwhelmed bc you’re not starting a new week, you’re building a life.

The foundation is already here -

I think sometimes we forget that this is living. Life is happening and we are missing it - but not anymore.

I’ve had some sh*tty facials -

But I’ve also had some absolutely incredible facials… and one thing I’ve learned in this transitional season of being on the the civilian consumer only side of beauty services to the provider (and forever consumer) of beauty services is this…

THE SENSORY EXPERIENCE IS EVERYTHING.

The way the bed feels, if your back hurts, if your knees need more support, if you’re too cold or too hot, if the provider is talking when you’re dying for an hour of silence…

Every sound feels like it’s amplified 10x because your eyes are closed, so anything that slams or drops can make your body feel like it’s reverting to an infant style startle reflex - and unfortunately even if it happens on accident it’s hard to recover from the adrenaline to get back into a relaxed state.

The smells.
The lights.
The sounds.
The textures.
The sensations.
The pressure.
The energy.
The temperature.
The tools.
The modalities.
The technique.
The welcome.

The sensory experience dictates the client experience and curates the signature feel we create in our treatment rooms.

Not to say one sensory experience is bette than the other, there is something for everyone - but, for me, I will say…

I notice when the provider has their phone going off on vibrate the whole hour. I notice when the energy feels off, like they didn’t want to be there. I notice when they aren’t mindful of keeping the room still and quiet during a relaxing service.

And I also notice when they are thoughtful and anticipatory throughout the whole service - making sure to check in and ask if I’m still comfortable. I notice the unique details that they clearly put a lot of time and energy into putting them into their client service ā€œroutinesā€. I notice when they think of things I might not say out loud but they read my body language and energy and adjust or add something or they might as a direct question to be sure.

It’s not about in and out services - slap a treatment on your skin, take your money and send you on your way. I don’t like that on the consumer end or the provider end - that’s why I LOVE offering customization along with communication šŸ¤
