Lovely photo of me, amirite?
But let's talk about why I'm a chameleon here.
Truth be told, "General Practitioner" marketers like myself are basically your primary care marketing physicians. AKA - We are NOT the cardiologists of advertising and promotion. In other words, we're not specialists, BUT we must be able to continuously adapt to our clients and their industries.
In my 20+ years of marketing, I've worked with clients as different from each other as American Express, Coty, Disney, Deloitte, Meta, Smirnoff, and even Uber. Now, as I focus on small business marketing, one day I'm pounding the pavement for my fintech client, touting their Wall Street investor intelligence software. The next day I'm working on a public health lead poisoning prevention campaign, then a turn-of-the-century American Western/Realism art museum rebrand, then a vodka and sparkling w**e launch, or a local developer needing a strategic playbook for a property's rollout.
This is what it takes to differentiate yourself in marketing: immersing yourself fully in your clients' industries and products. That means understanding their language, their audiences, and how to sell their productsโnot only to their existing customer base, but also through new and untapped channels they may not have even considered.
Hit me up here for any marketing advice - no matter your industry!
