THINK AND GROW RICH β β CONFIDENCE
In the chapter on FAITH (which Hill defined as confidence) Napoleon tells us that confidence is a state of mind. It is under the control the individual and not an inborn trait. And the starting point for developing that self-confidence is "DEFINITENESS OF PURPOSE."
"The individual who knows what they want, has a definite plan for getting it, and is actually engaged in carrying out that plan, has no difficulty in believing in his or her own ability to succeed. The individual who procrastinate soon loses confidence and winds up doing nothing," Hill shares with us in Think and Grow Rich.
But what happens when we begin to take action and we encounter obstacles, roadblocks, and setbacks?
That's where⦠"In every adversity and every heart ache, there is a seed of an equivalent or greater benefit if we will look for it with a positive mental attitude and act on it."
But not everybody has developed this ability because they have not decided TO TAKE CONTROL OF THEIR OWN MIND!
Andrew Carnegie commented to Hill that our country β β America β β was founded through the principle of THE MASTERMIND ALLIANCE. Individuals like John Hancock, Samuel Adams, and Richard Henry Lee created such a union β β mostly through correspondence at that time. But it was dispassionate sharing of their ideas and ideals that eventually led to the historic meeting at Independence Hall.
Poverty and riches are just a result of our attitudes of mind. Truly Hill tells us "Whatever the Mind Can Believe, the Mind Can Achieve."
Whatever thought, idea or desire that you persistently place in your mind will eventually reproduce itself in outward physical action. If you affirm through the principle of AUTOSUGGESTION that you have confidence in yourself and your abilities β β you will begin to believe that you have confidence in you will begin acting how a confident individual acts.
