What if our family had lived in the 1880s?

While filming Back to the Frontier, we often thought about what life would have been like for two dads raising our boys nearly 150 years ago.

Same-sex love existed, but living openly could come at an enormous cost. Prison, rejection, losing your livelihood, and having no legal recognition as a couple were all realities of the time.

We’ve come a long way because generations before us refused to accept inequality. The rights we enjoy today were hard fought, never guaranteed, and deserve to be protected for those who come after us. ❤️

Hard to believe Ethan and Lucas are only 12 and already so interested in college life. Are we really at this stage?!

From Dixie Chicken and exploring campus to Aggie traditions, a little Texas rain, and a BIG win at Kyle Field, it was a weekend to remember!
