We are honored to be awarded Gold in the Graphis Poster Awards 2026 for our project with .tx. Designed by Brandon Kirk, with creative direction from Glen Gauthier, the piece was initially used as cover artwork for the Horizons concert performed by Orpheus, and now will be featured in the annual Awards book.

——
About the Project:
In the Horizons concert performed by Orpheus, 16 magnificent voices explored themes of home, expatriation, exile, and cultural diaspora. In part, the music celebrates those displaced by war or adversity, but are now rebuilding and starting to prosper where they settled. In part, the performance addressed a highly relevant and timely issue about refugees and displacement with ongoing global issues including the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Sudanese civil war, Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and the United States immigration raids and deportations.

The poster contrasts the harsh reality of being uprooted from one’s home during uncertainty and difficulty with the ability of humanity to persevere, thrive and bloom by producing joy and beauty even oceans away from one’s family and homeland.
——

Yay awards! We’re excited to have design materials accepted into the DSVC Dallas Show for our work on Solaris House in Austin. Thanks to all the judges who participated in the selection of this year’s show!

For the Solaris House brand, we wanted to convey architectural and design elements found at the property: warm light coming through the windows; incredible sunset views; natural wellness ethos of the community; and accent colors seen in both the exterior and interior.

Black Eye was honored with a Titan Award for the high-end materials we created for the AMLI Fountain Place, an architecturally significant residential tower in the Dallas Arts District.

The book, designed by Brandon Kirk with creative direction from Glen Gauthier, is perfect bound and uses unique papers and specialty finishes including a short sheet cover and section dividers from metallic Aspire Petallics Pure Gold with a matte navy foil stamped headlines. The interior pages have a silk finish in full color. For presentation, the book is enclosed in a quatro fold portfolio wrapper of Nightshift Blue cover with matte black foil stamped tagline and logo on the cover and matte black and matte gold introduction copy on the inside front panel.

Congrats to the Black Eye and AMLI teams! Paper sourced through Peter Whaley | Printing by Cockrell Enovation

It was fun seeing the Omnom Chocolate packaging and illustration
designed by André Úlfur Visage of Wolftown. The illustrations are unique for each flavor and inspired by different Icelandic influences. Always cool to be energized by what’s out there in the wild!

In 2021, we traveled to Redmond to work with the Nelson Family on a large real estate project a decade in the making. Together, we crafted the overall brand narrative for Redmond Village, and started on the branding for the first building. We named it “The Charles” to honor the family patriarch, William Charles Nelson and included an apple leaf as a nod to the family orchard.

The materials are now complete and we’re loving the welcoming and timeless feel to them.
