Nearly 20 years ago, I walked away from a job I truly adored. I was racing around Center City Philadelphia, trying to find a FedEx dropbox still accepting late shipments... hustling to get “liquid gold” home (IYKYK).

I left with the hope that I could take a pause, focus on my growing family, and return when I was ready. What I didn’t realize was that God was doing something deeper... building me, preparing me. During those years, I learned how to work with my kids by my side... whether serving our community, volunteering in our church, or launching (and eventually selling) The Find.

Then, when my youngest started kindergarten, I got a call from a dream brand. It felt like the "moment" I had envisioned. But during the interview, a junior team member casually mentioned that being “all in” meant missing her daughter’s first birthday party. I heard God clearly say: “No, not this.”

That moment changed everything. Freelance work started flowing. My network turned into powerful partnerships. And I started to believe I could do this my way.

Then life threw down a serious challenge... the kind that shakes your foundation. That’s when I decided, I have to go all in. Even without the confidence. I asked God to show me I was on the right path. And He did.

Today, I have the absolute gift of working with emerging brands and growth-minded businesses who are building something meaningful.

It is possible to build a business on your terms. No, it’s not all dreamy Instagram filters. But yes... it’s possible to do work that honors your talent, your purpose, and your priorities.

Here’s to bold steps, God’s timing, and doing it on your terms.

Feeling “meh” when it comes to marketing?🙋🏽‍♀️

Not really feeling like you can show up or serve lately? Your to-do list is long, you can barely keep up with your new ideas…and, hello, it's summer.

If so, these things are so often caused by ONE big thing. And that is a lack of clarity or CONFIDENCE around your offer.

Not only do I see it as I walk alongside founders just like you…but, I experience it myself. As an entrepreneur you get to build the business you want, on your terms. It's just the “your terms” part can be a little messy from time to time.

You see, when you don’t have clarity or confidence, it’s hard to WANT to show up. We don’t know what to say, don’t want to share about something we don’t love and it ends up making everything more.

But you CAN shake off these feelings, pinky promise!! And swipe through for my my go to ways to “shake it” and get back to serving

It's always personal.

When you lead with connection, you show you really care. You show that you're about serving and solving her problem (not yours). You get her (or him 😉) and she even wonders if you've been reading her diary.

You've got to get beyond the offer. Go deeper. How will you make them feel? What is the true problem you can solve.

Stop spinning your wheels. Stop discounting. Stop selling for goodness sakes.

Is it the NO or the KNOWING?

This is a question asked herself on the path toward building her billion dollar brand. And, it's pure gold.

As you build toward your own dreams and goals, you KNOW in your heart what you need to do. You didn't start off with this crazy idea on a whim, after all. But, you also get NO's. ALL the time.

No, it's not the right time.
No, we are going another direction.
No, it's not in the budget.
No, it's not the right fit.
No, let's visit again on this next month…the list goes on.

But, you KNOW. You just know you are meant to keep going. And, it's in the keeping on...in staying the course...that's when the magic really does happen.

As a service provider, in an online space, I'm watching countless founders chase their dreams. I'm cheering as my clients and my team stretch and reach their goals (and beyond). And, I'm also aware that we're all doing our very best...but balls are dropping and personal sacrifices are being made.

Quick test for you.

Go back and look at your last 10 pieces of content you've offered (email, social posting, etc). Mark how many were focused on their needs and wants. ✔️

Go ahead.
And, give yourself a score.

It's a tricky balance between showing up with your product and service and showing up with the intent to connect, add value and serve.

They don't need your offer.
They don't want to buy anything.

Hear me out. People don't buy WHAT you sell. They buy WHY you sell it...what it will do for them. Show up to solve her problem, like how this will make her feel when she uses your product or service.

Coaches impart confidence so you take massive action.
Realtors help guide you home.
Artists let you express your personal style.
Photographers let you savor a moment in time forever.

Be about them...even when you share YOU, do it to get to know them. Now, tell me...did you pass the test?
