Welcome to Alex’s Canva Addiction, a freelance graphic design service based in Dallas, Texas! 🩵
My name is Alex! I’m the creator behind this shop. I’ve been a creative & artsy woman since my childhood. I took every art class that was offered to me up until high school, where I pivoted completely and did tech theatre as my extracurricular- specifically, I did costume design and construction for the department. I almost pursued theatrical costume design at TCU in my undergrad before switching to fashion merchandising. Despite the fact I left the department, I still had the honor of being the costume designer for 3 Theatre TCU shows and worked part time at the Theatre TCU Costume Studio all 4 years of college. All this to say…I have an artistic eye and love creative expression!
Canva came into my life when I got to college in 2018, and I’ve been obsessed with it ever since. It was my go-to for excelling at all of my class projects and presentations. I’d end up becoming the marketing & communications director for TCU Student Government my junior year, so Canva was a necessity. My most important Canva project happened during this time- I designed the marketing materials for the on campus fall concert featuring Flo Rida! The best part…I got his autograph on one of my designs!
Since college, I’ve been using Canva professionally at my jobs, and have now dabbled in doing work for friends and a few clients…which inspired starting my side business! I’m so excited to work with future clients on their projects and continue to grow artistically.
