Today marks 20 years since Taylor Swift released Tim McGraw, and honestly? That feels impossible. 🤍🤠
I’ve been a Swiftie since the very first listen. Twenty years later, I’ve grown up alongside her music. Different cities, different jobs, different relationships, different versions of myself… and somehow there’s been a Taylor Swift soundtrack for all of it. ✨
Confession: I am extremely protective of my Taylor Swift experience. I will not listen to her with just anybody. It has to be the right person, the right moment, the right energy. I don’t want a song attached to the wrong memory. Is that dramatic? Maybe. Do I stand by it? Absolutely.😊
I also have one Swiftie regret. I skipped a tour because a friend came to visit at the last minute and didn’t want to go. So I gave up my ticket to be a good friend.
We don’t even talk anymore.
In fact, I think about that concert way more than I think about that friendship.
Let that be a lesson 🤷🏻♀️
And after all these years, my relationship with Taylor Swift has genuinely outlasted most relationships in my life. That’s not a joke. That’s just math.
To my fellow Swifties: we’re still clowning, still decoding clues that probably mean nothing, still convincing ourselves an announcement is coming any day now, and still ready for the next era.
Here’s to 20 years of friendship bracelets, emotional damage, and screaming lyrics with strangers who somehow feel like family. 🤍✨
