It has been over several years since I last popped into your feeds. A lot has changed since my days focusing solely on "The Marketing Lady," and I wanted to share an update and a resource. I took a step back to return to the workforce to support local entrepreneurs. I was actively serving on national boards with entrepreneurship organizations and deepened my expertise in entrepreneurship-led economic development.
Here is a snapshot of what I have been up to:

Local Impact: I spearheaded the expansion of the largest nonprofit entrepreneur center in Dallas, supporting thousands of under-resourced founders.

National Impact: From advocating on Capitol Hill to shape federal policies that level the playing field for women entrepreneurs, to influencing national narratives for ecosystem builders across to the country.

New Credentials: I earned a certification as an Entrepreneurship Development Professional with the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) to elevate the entrepreneurial ecosystem through economic development.

New Venture: I launched Economic Growth Strategies to help organizations build stronger business ecosystems and execute impactful entrepreneurship-led development strategies. Visit the website www.egstrategies.com.

While The Marketing Lady brand won't go away entirely, in 2026, I will shift that brand to provide marketing resources and tools.

Join WBENC and one of the newest 2025 Women Owned in Retail partners to learn about Kohl’s Mentorship Program. In this one-time session suppliers will learn about mentoring and networking opportunities for companies interested in doing business with Kohl’s. Attendees will hear from the Kohl’s team directly about the benefits of this program and all that the Supplier Diversity team is doing to create opportunities for potential suppliers.
