Urgent Assistance Requested — Tree Felling Situation
I am currently dealing with a challenging tree removal situation and would greatly appreciate guidance from those with experience.
During the initial cut, the wedge was not executed properly and the intended fall line was missed. As a result, the tree has partially dropped and is now leaning toward a nearby structure, specifically in the direction of my house and balcony. At present, it is secured with a line tied off to a neighboring tree on the right, although its stability is uncertain.
There are additional trees in the area that could potentially be used for further support or redirection; however, I do not have experience handling trees of this size or in this type of compromised position. The terrain slopes downhill to the north, and my goal is to safely guide the tree to fall forward and to the right, away from any concrete structures.
Given the current risk and positioning, I would sincerely appreciate any advice, recommended approach, or safety considerations from those familiar with tree felling in similar conditions.. 🪵 🎄 🌳 🏠

Went to pick up some charcoal, and when the cashier asked what I was planning to cook, we ended up talking barbecue for a few minutes. 🔥😄
Before I knew it, he offered me a large cherry tree that had already been cut up and was available for free. It had been dead for about a year, so while some of the larger pieces will still need additional drying time, it was still an excellent find.
Either way, this should keep my offset running strong for quite a while. 🍒🪵 🪵 🎄 🌳

She is 92 years old and lives alone on a farm, so this is typically the amount of firewood she uses each winter.

For the past few years, I have been purchasing wood from the same supplier. He seems like a good, honest person, and I value supporting him, but I am beginning to wonder whether I may be paying more than expected. This load was represented as 4 cords, though I now suspect that may mean face cords rather than full cords, something I only recently learned from this group.

The price was $192 per cord, split and delivered. To be fair, the wood is excellent quality, well-seasoned hardwood, and it burns very well. I would appreciate any insight on whether this sounds like a fair price and quantity. 😊🫂🙏😊🪵 🎄 🌳
