At the Holston High School Horticulture Department, we are dedicated to developing students’ horticultural aptitude and skills for the future. We host a variety of plant sales including a fall, winter, and spring sale, where we develop our students’ skills with the public and marketing. When we aren’t just selling plants, we’re planting seedlings, sowing seeds, landscaping the school, designing fl

ower arrangements, and planning for the next plant sale. This helps develop our students’ work ethic and prepares them for the rigorous and unpredictable life they have ahead of them.

Holston FFA members and Horticulture students traveled to Wallace Middle School today for a lab on asexual propagation and ground covers. These cuttings will be rooted at school and planted on the HHS campus as part of our service learning projects this school year.
