We get this idea in our head of how something should be, and not what it really is. That’s how things gets misunderstood. That’s why some of us don’t care to be understood. Seeing beauty in everything is not a trait that some have and some don’t. We all have it. You have to care enough to want to understand the unknown. When it comes to this flower, it’s not just a flower. Then when it comes to me, I am not just a person. There’s so much more going on.

So graceful that one of my friends, who just graduated from RIT, asked me to do her grad photos. Like all of my shoots, this one was so much fun to do! This is the third graduation shoot that I’ve done since becoming a photographer. I have been able to hone in on improving my techniques from looking at past grad shoots. And to be honest, this might’ve been my favorite one to do.

Truth is, I am grateful to have been part of their journey. Just have to thank them for trusting me to be the one to capture their special moments over the last couple of years. From the engagement ring shoot to their wedding pictures, it has all been an experience. I don’t think I could have asked for a better couple to work with.

I just want to thank my friend Dana for letting me capture these images of her. This was my first ever photo shoot where the model wasn’t still. All I can say is, doing this was a lot of fun. So I definitely can’t wait to collab with her on more shoots.
