There are many delicate moments along the journey when we try to first get a prospects attention and move them all the way up the funnel until the final conversion and they become a paying customers.
“The gates of hell are open night and day; Smooth the descent, and easy is the way: But to return, and view the cheerful skies, In this the task and mighty labor lies.”
― Virgil, The Aeneid
Virgil may not have known anything about funnels, but he captures the difficulty and intensity of the marketer’s struggle with this well-known verse from The Aeneid. Virgil's poem "The Aeneid" is an epic poem that tells the story of the Trojan hero Aeneas, who flees from the burning city of Troy and embarks on a journey to Italy, where he is fated to found the city of Rome.
Well the journey we have undertaken in the MECLABS research cohort to find the holy grail of how to successfully build AI Optimized Super Funnels, may lack the epic quality of The Aeneid but the work we are doing week in week out feels life-changing and transformative. As Dr. Flint McGlaughlin states “To transform the marketing message we must first transform the marketer”.
I am certain anyone who joins a MECLABS research cohort and is willing to remain as steadfast and true as Aeneas did, will eventually traverse the entire spectrum of the heroes journey and emerge triumphant and transformed.
Throughout his journey, Aeneas is guided by the gods, who help him to fulfill his destiny of founding the city of Rome. While MECLABS leadership may not have the exalted status of an immortal living on Mount Olympus their guidance is every bit as valuable.
The guidance I and my fellow cohorts have received over the months from the mentors leading the research has been extraordinary. If you have not yet taken any of the free fast classes available from MECLABS, then you should. The quality of the instruction is second to none and you can find it here: https://meclabs.com/course/
If you do join the MECLABS community, you will need to take the transformative aspect of the journey seriously if you are to succeed. It takes work and dedication but it’s well worth it. If when you do the course, it seems hard to you, you’ll find that’s because it is. But stick with it – we all know Rome was not built in a day.
