This statement goes for everyone. Whether you're an entrepreneur living the double (or triple!) life of corporate in the day and CEO at night or you're an established business owner or you are just starting out.

You HAVE to make time for yourself.

This is coming from someone who has spent the last month coming back from running herself ragged in April. That's right, I spent little time on Mighty Miss Co. content - simply did what my clients needed and that was it.

Becoming a remote worker has opened many doors, both good + bad. While I love the freedom to work from home in athleisure attire - I miss human interaction.

I had to make the effort to live my life outside more recently to stop the build-up internally that I wasn't doing enough. Truth is, I was doing MORE than enough and I was letting myself be overbooked and eliminating the little white space I had created for myself.

So take this as a not so gentle reminder - set boundaries. We are in an era where the "hustle" + "grind" feel non-stop (which is a post for another day) YOU deserve to feel in control of your calendar, no one is able to take that from you.

Set boundaries + love yourself + always be kind

We made it - it's officially the first week of 2021.

We are still here. YOU are still here. ❤

It has been a challenge coming up with my word for 2021. I have notes all across my desk of different words but nothing seemed to stick. Turns out, there was a reason! I needed to slow down, stop worrying about having the "perfect" word, and listen.

My word for 2021 was all around me: in songs, scripture, and late night conversations. After such a long and tumultuous year, it's only fitting that my word is hope.

I hope for a brighter future in the world. I hope that we all learn to love one another instead of spreading hate and fear. I hope to become a wife and mother. I hope my friends and family know how much they are loved. I hope you know how happy I am that you're still here.

Here's to hope. May it be firm and secure.

It's the holiday season...🎄🎁

Shoppers are already planning their holiday shopping earlier this year. Why does this matter? This early preparation will extend the usual Cyber Monday and Cyber Week timelines. Big deal for all my local retail friends!

With many people staying home, COVID-19 has led to an increase in shoppers looking for value in terms of quality and price. This means shoppers will be spending more time browsing, researching, and ultimately buying.

Essentially what he is saying is that your content
needs to be interesting so it can be consumable. I'm all for jumping on trends, just don't make your content nothing but trends -- you need to stand out!
