Our agency turns 54 years old today!

Coincidentally, it also marks the first full day of AMI’s Build a Better Agency Summit in Denver.
 
As we look ahead to year 55, we’re investing in the future of our agency and the clients who trust us with their brands. Sanchez and Brittney are serving as our orange sponges this week, soaking up new ideas, tools, relationships and strategies to help us grow into even stronger marketing partners.

The Nehlsen crew were creatives in a half shell out in Clinton County yesterday for our annual spring outing. It was a day oozing with laughs and plenty of chaos.

With f***y packs fastened and turtle power levels fully activated, the crew gathered at the Sanchez house for breakfast before climbing into a stretch limo with one destination in mind: some of America’s finest dive bars!

Dive Club also marked the shell-shocking finale of this year’s Nehltucky Derby, with a race at every stop along the way. After a season of tiny horse drama, heartbreak and fierce competition, Amy captured her first-ever Nehltucky Derby championship and secured her place in agency racing history.

This crew spends a lot of time coming out of their shells and making things happen for our clients, so days like Dive Club are a chance to celebrate the people behind the work and enjoy some time together outside the office.

Cowabunga! The agency will be closed today as we celebrate Dive Club, our annual spring outing. After months in the sewer grinding on deadlines, these creatives in a half shell are trading keyboards for pizza and a tour through Clinton County and beyond.

Dive Club also marks the official season finale of The Nehltucky Derby, where one Nehrd will emerge from the ooze victorious and claim the title of champion of our 2026 season.

“Mitch on a Dive”

Tomorrow, the agency shuts down for our annual spring outing. Unfortunately, a plague swept through the office this week and while most of us survived, our fearless web leader has officially been ruled out of this year’s Dive Club festivities after failing to secure medical clearance for the springtime celebration.

With Mitch sidelined, it’s only fitting that this highlights him during our first Dive Club outside the legendary B.S. General Store — back when germs feared him.

Rest up, Seifert. We’ll need you healthy enough to make up some serious ground this summer on Tiki. 🧡

Oh, the curiosity of a Nehlsen Nehrd. Earlier this week — before the office plague struck, a loud bang outside on River Drive had these nosey Nehrds sprinting to the windows faster than you can say “what was that?!”

Turns out, the ruckus was just a minor fender bender, nothing serious!

Unfortunately, these creative minds were unable to solve the problem from inside the office, so after a few minutes of expert-level people watching, it was back to business as usual.

We’re lucky to be surrounded by so many incredible moms at Nehlsen who somehow manage to balance work, family, chaos, snacks, schedules and the occasional emergency with superhero-level skill.

Derby season at Nehlsen Creative just leveled up 🏇🏆

The Nehltucky Derby trophy has officially arrived and even though it’s not quite finished yet, it’s already raising the stakes.

Brittney, our 2025 champion, got the honor of unboxing it first. For now, it sits on her desk but in three weeks it could belong to another Nehrd.

We’ve been running our horses exclusively on the track we named Marigold Run, but that’s about to change. Thanks to one of our partners, a new track enters the mix at the end of the workday.

Van Hook Downs is bringing a whole new level of chaos to our end-of-week tradition. 🧡
