Okay, I know how daunting it can be to either capture or find images. Something to remember though, they don't have to be perfect. Our phones can produce high-quality images these days. A few design tips for your images.

1️⃣ High Quality - Your content should always reflect high-quality images and content. If you don't feel like you have enough high-quality images, there are some free resources to gain images such as unsplash or pexels.

2️⃣ Consistent - Consistency is 🔑. Consistency in your theme throughout your website, socials, and email marketing.

3️⃣ & 4️⃣ Appropriate & Relevant - Is the design appropriate and relevant for your audience? One of the greatest things you can do for your business is to know your ideal customer and speak directly to them.

Do you know who your ideal customer is? Does your content speak to them?

As so many of us have thought “I can’t believe 2020 is almost over!” With the ending of 2020 near and the beginning of 2021 so close, I’m looking towards setting goals for 2021 ✨

A personal goal I am setting for 2021 will be boosting my reading log. I love to read a good book whether it is for business or for luxury! 📚

My current line up:
✨Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill
✨ Profit First: Transform Your Business... by Mike Michalowicz
✨Keep Going & Steal Like An Artist by Austin Kleon
✨ I Want More Pizza by Steve Burckholder (my teenager recommend it lol)
✨Untamed by Glennon Doyle (Have heard raving reviews around this book)

Any good book recommendations to add to my list? Let me know, I love getting recommendations!!

Content Marketing Pt. 4 /4

So you've established your content pillars, generated the best way to create and curate content, now how to put it all together and keep it consistent while also running a business?! ✨

A scheduling platform might just be the answer you are looking for. ✔︎

There are many benefits of a social media scheduling platform such as:

💫 Help stay consistent and organized
💫 Allows you to build out campaigns surrounding holidays and current events
💫 Can schedule content based on optimal times
💫 Batch your content as often or little as you need
💫 Allows team members to manage and contribute content
A few examples of some great scheduling platforms are Buffer, Later, Hootsuite, Trello, and Facebook Creator Studio. (My favorites are Buffer and Later 😉).

Content Pt. 3

Does your business or your personal brand get tagged in photos or mentioned in captions?

This is a great source for user-generated content! If you don’t have people tagging you, ask your customers/clients!

Here are some ideas to obtain UGC:
💫 Use a personalized hashtag
💫 Ask customers/clients to leave reviews/share their experience
💫 Use a contest to incentivize
💫 Reward your engaged audience with social currency
💫Use receipt emails or photogenic product packaging (both e-commerce and brick & mortar - these are great for stories especially)

User-Generated content allows your account to be active with less work. Remember - work smarter not harder!

Created v. Curated Content

Believe it or not, you don't have to create every piece of content you put out. But How? ⬇️

Some go by an 80/20 or 70/30 rule (80% created, 20% curated). Choose whichever works best for your marketing strategy.

To be authentic to your community, create as much of your own content as your resources allow. 📸

Fill the gap with sourced content, share, and retweet from influencers and brands that complement your own.
Sharing promotes community, rounds out your own content, and allows your accounts to be more active with less work. ⚡️

Work smarter not harder 😉

Happy Monday!! I hope you had a restful weekend filled with Thanksgiving leftovers. 😋

This week I want to dive a bit deeper into content. I know I spoke about content pillars in a previous post, but there is so much about content I could go on forever, but I won’t! Lol

But....first things first. Who are you speaking to through your content? Have you established User Personas (ideal customer/ client layout) for your business? User Personas are your targets that will form the basis of your marketing plan.

Whether you are a brick and mortar or a service provider, you should know who your ideal customer/client is. They’re who you’re going after, and who your strategy, tactics and messaging will be tailored towards.

If you have not established them yet, take out a pen and paper and just start writing.

Here are a few questions to ask yourself when mapping out your personas.

💫 How old are they?
💫 What motivates them?
💫 Where do they work?
💫 What are their goals?
💫 What are their frustrations (and can you help fill that gap)?
💫 Where do they like to shop?

Know everything you can about your ideal customer/client and you can speak their language and draw them right to you!

Do you know your User Persona?

Content pillars Pt. 1
Do you ever have trouble finding ideas or thought provoking content to post on the regular? 💭

Content pillars are a great way to have structure and consistency throughout your social media. 📝

To create content pillars ask yourself these 3 questions - ✍️
What are 3-5 topics you speak about regularly?
What time of content will you create?
How does this content support marketing and business objectives?

P.S. I am thinking of starting a blog to expand on each of these subjects. What are your thoughts? Yes or no?

Happy Tuesday! Sticking to my goal this week of consistency!

Quick tip of the day - Engage with your followers!

Many people believe that posting to your social channels is enough to keep customers engage. Wrong!

Do not post it and forget it. Engaging with your followers, answering questions, asking questions, showing insight into your audience, and replying to comments is one of the most important parts of a social media strategy!

Remember don’t set it and forget it, check in and engage consistently!

What’s the most useful engagement you do? Feed or stories? Let me know in the comments below!! ⬇️

Happy Monday!! Trying to kick off this week with the ultimate goal of being consistent on my own social as I get so wrapped up in client work and making sure their social accounts are consistent! ⚡️

Being consistent is so important to keep current for your regular customers and your new audience. Showing people that you are regularly posting and engaging with your audience lets them know that you are readily available. 🔉

The hard truth of it is that social media is a long-term game. The effort you put in now will be rewarded months down the line if you are consistently showing up during that period!🔒

Let's kick this week off on the right foot! 👊🏼

What are your goals for this week?

Writing IG and FB posts can be daunting, but remember, you are an expert in your industry so share what you know! 💁🏼‍♀️

Here are 5 quick tips to writing captions that captivate!

1) Share what you know! Tips, tricks, hacks and advice from your industry that is valuable for your audience. Think like a customer or client and what is valuable to them, not you.💭

2) Tell a story! Communicating through story is what we have been doing for 1,000’s of years and still do naturally in everyday life. It helps show the vulnerability and open the conversation between you and your audience.👥

3) Motivation! Share an inspiring story or your favorite quote. This can go along with telling a story. Everyone loves a feel-good, encouraging message. 📝

4) Entertainment! Social media brings tons of options for funny cat videos, stunning travel photos or an inspirational story. Share some of your favorites! 🎭

5) Lastly, use your own images, even if they are not perfect. Adding personal touches to your feed such as featuring yourself and your product, highlighting an associate, or sharing customer review along with a photo shows the real person behind the social!📸

Start creating an epic content strategy that helps grow your business with 3 steps!

1) Plan Intentionally! Goals, goals, and goals! Set goals and write them on your calendar. Ask yourself these questions- What are you hoping to achieve through your social media? What steps do you need to take to reach those goals? Write down actionable steps and put them on your calendar to reach your goal. 📝

2) Identify your target audience’s main wants, needs, and pain point’s. Once you’ve identified these, you can speak your target audiences language and create content that is actually interesting and valuable them.💭

3) Keep a running document in your phone or a small notebook for content brainstorming ideas. Did a customer ask a great question or bring up a pain point? Social media is a great way to address this to your target audience. 📲

Remember, quality - Well planned out content can cut through the noise and effectively reach the customers who are most likely to buy from you. 💥
