The Zero Waste Program is an environmental program located in the Office of Sustainability, in Mrak Hall at UC Davis. This is a student supported staff that works with students, staff and faculty to promote green sustainable practices and services across the campus and Davis community. One of our main goals in the upcoming years is the 2020 Zero Waste Goal. The University voluntarily committed itself to act in accordance with environmental laws as a responsible and conscientious employer, educational establishment, and community member. We promote and facilitate zero waste events through the UC Davis football games and other campus events. Please join us in achieving a more sustainable UC Davis and feel free to contact us for any questions. Some of the services and projects we do include but are not limited to... - electronic waste collections - pen recycling - battery recycling - collections for Aggie Surplus - zero waste supplies for campus events - waste bin Arc GIS mapping - marketing and event promotion planning - Zero Waste presentations - facilitate purchasing of waste bins
