We helped Douglas J Institute redesign their website and overhaul their content to better reflect who they are, and connect with the next generation of Beauty School students.

Our strategy focused on creating search-informed content, paired with clean user paths and a modern design—all driven by the goal of converting website traffic into qualified leads.

For May’s Jetpack Social Club post, we’re proud to feature the work of our longtime colleague and good friend, Alexis Branham. Alexis is the Creative Lead and Co-Owner of Scholar House Media, where she brings both artistic intuition and strategic insight to everything she touches.

Alexis describes herself as a “spring soul,” and her featured illustration captures that seasonal sense of renewal with bright blooms, fresh starts, and the quiet motivation that comes with warmer days. The piece is a gentle reminder that growth is always possible, even after a long winter.

Alexis brings a careful eye and a thoughtful touch to every project, always seeking a balance between beauty and function. Like many of us, the hardest part is often just getting started, especially when perfectionism and overthinking sneak in. For this piece, she grounded herself by focusing on what she loves most: flowers.

When she’s not working, you can find Alexis in the garden, tending to her “small farm”, and hanging out with her husband and their daughter, Wren.

We had the pleasure of teaming up with the amazing crew at the Arcade to create a brand-new logo, design a custom floor emblem, and craft a donor recognition display to highlight those making this transformation possible.
