Largest Contentful Paint (LCP)

What it is: LCP measures how long it takes for the largest visible element on a page (like a main image, video, or headline) to load for the user.

Why it matters: This metric directly reflects how fast visitors can see and engage with your main content. If your LCP is slow (over 2.5 seconds), users feel like your site is sluggish, which often leads to higher bounce rates. Google considers LCP a Core Web Vital, meaning it’s a ranking factor in SEO. First Contentful Paint (FCP)
