H**p history week is tomorrow but it's always h**p history here in one way or another. We have an awesome giveaway starting tomorrow as well so stay tuned for a chance to win some wonderful free h**p goodies. Also, we may repost a lil' more than usual this week because of our lovely h**p holiday.
Soooooo, please get out there and support your local h**p clubs, h**p farmers, h**p manufacturing companies, h**p based medicine, h**p clothing companies, edible h**p seed companies, h**p skin care companies, etc, etc. Make h**p a part of your everyday lives by learning the truth of its power to heal and connect the loose ends. Sustainability & renewability are key factors in why we should invest in industrial h**p. That and the fact that it can replace most paper products, replace most plastic stuff, be eaten, be worn, make fuel & oils from, as well as build with it, make meds from it and use for skin care products. An Activist from Florida Made a Sports Car Out of Industrial H**p

Sometimes it’s amazing just how many things can be made from h**p – clothing, lotions, shampoos – and now cars. Bruce Michael Dietzen of Key West Florida designed a sports car made from industrial h**p instead of fiberglass. His goals were simple: create an environmentally friendly car and get rid of some of the negativity surrounding cannabis h**p.

Comparing this car to anything you see on a daily basis is easy from the outside – the car looks amazing and is made over the frame of a Mazda Miata. The little red convertible is made of three layers of pure h**p that have been woven together, hardened with resin, and then painted. The results are an amazing looking, lightweight, and eco-friendly sports car that anyone would love to take a test drive in.

In comparison to the average car these days, this h**p version is much lighter – it weighs less than a couple hundred pounds, the heaviest part being the frame from the Miata. The difficulties in obtaining h**p (especially here in Florida) left Dietzen with few options except to order the h**p online – which is exactly what he did when he chose to purchase his materials from China.

You might be wondering what exactly a h**p-based vehicle might run on – and the answer is almost as interesting as the question itself. The h**p car runs on agricultural waste, which could include branches, leaves, and so much more – all things that could be made easily available for very little money, already making it sound like a wonderful alternative to gasoline, if you ask me.

Three areas H**p can help replace.

Fuel

The woody h**p plant is low in moisture; it dries quickly and is an efficient biomass source of methanol. The waste products produced by using h**p oil are a good source of ethanol. Both methanol and ethanol are produced from h**p through the efficient and economical process of thermo-chemical conversion. One acre of h**p yields 1,000 gallons or 3,785 liters of fuel. H**p allows a lesser reliance on fossil fuels, which are non-renewable sources of energy and will not be able to meet the increasing global demands for long.

Paper

Paper can be manufactured from h**p. Since h**p has a low lignin content compared to wood, it can be turned to pulp faster and easier; this naturally bright pulp does not need chlorine bleaching, which is used in traditional paper mills and releases a toxic substance called dioxin into the environment. H**p is also compatible with the new soy-based binders rather than the harsh binders that give off formaldehyde. This reduces air pollution and health hazards to human and animal life. The quality of paper obtained from h**p is more durable and does not lose its color even after many years. Much more can be got out of each h**p plant since its paper can be recycled 7 or 8 times, as compared to only 3 for tree-based paper.

Construction

The uses of h**p also extend into construction. Fiberboards made from a h**p-based composite are stronger yet lighter than those made from wood. The combination of h**p fiber and lime results in a sound-proofing and insulating material that is stronger and lighter than concrete. By replacing wood and concrete, the amount of waste matter at a construction site is reduced. Since homes built using h**p products have better thermal insulation, less fuel will be consumed for heating their interiors. Bio-based plastics can be made from the long h**p fibers, and these are almost as strong as fiberglass. H**p is an economical construction material that is recyclable, cheaper than glass and safe for the workers.
