Yesterday, Katlin Truelsen shared her new book, Buckin' Bull Buddies, with kids at the DeWitt Library! The kids also had a back number ceremony, did bouncy bull riding, and one of the story's main characters, Cade Smith, visited with them via Zoom!

A huge congratulations to Katlin Truelsen on receiving a gold rating with her proficiency award at nationals this year! It has been an honor to work with such a talented young woman over the past four years. She has an incredibly bright future ahead of her in agriculture!

This week, the Fremont County Fair in Sidney, Iowa, hosted a storywalk featuring Buckin' Bull Buddies! Thank you to the Fremont County Iowa Extension and Outreach for sharing photos from the event and the Lakin Library & Envisioning Center for providing the storyboards.

It was another fun day of classroom visits with Katlin Truelsen and Cade Smith to share Buckin' Bull Buddies! Thank you to Bridget Miller with Farm Bureau Financial Services for donating a copy to each of the first and second grade students.

Some special guests came to visit the 2nd graders yesterday! Katlin Truelsen shared her new children's book, Buckin' Bull Buddies, and then one of the main characters, Cade Smith, joined them for a Zoom!
