🎖️ Medal of Honor Day | March 25 🎖️

Today, we honor the extraordinary courage of America’s Medal of Honor recipients—the highest recognition for valor in combat.

Among them is Construction Mechanic 3rd Class Marvin G. Shields, the first and only Seabee to receive the Medal of Honor.

During the Battle of D**g Xoai in Vietnam, CM3 Shields displayed unmatched bravery—delivering supplies under fire, aiding wounded comrades, and volunteering for a dangerous assault on a machine gun bunker, despite being gravely wounded himself. He gave his life to protect others.

His actions reflect the heart of the Seabee spirit: “We build, we fight.”

We will never forget his sacrifice.
