August is National Water Quality Month, and it's a good moment to highlight the communications behind essential infrastructure.

Delivering customers clean water requires ongoing investment, testing, and public infrastructure, which can be complicated topics to explain. Community residents also have a role to play in keeping their water safe and clean. This is why communication matters.

DCC has partnered with the Sanitary District of Decatur, IL (SDD), the regional wastewater treatment authority, to develop an outreach strategy that highlights key initiatives and programs and provides residents with steps they can also take to help protect public health and the environment.

Our work with SDD is a good example of what we do best: translating technical, essential work into clear, credible, and relevant material that resonates with the people it affects most.
