We turn FIVE today! Wow - where did the time go? I started this agency with the goal to gain full creative freedom in my work. It was a total gamble! I had no idea what a rollercoaster ride it would take me on... and yet, i'm still here riding out another storm and finding new ways to thrive.

Come a long way from a nervous freelancer who was so eager to learn to running my business fully remote for over a year and living my dream life - what a blessing it's been! Many priceless lessons later, the fire is still burning. Who knows what the next 5 years will bring?

THANK YOU to all of our clients, mentors, partners, community, friends and peers for believing in this dream of mine and giving me a shot. Will forever hold 5.15.15 as my lucky digits.

Last week we hinted that chronological feed may be making a comeback on Instagram and Facebook. ⏰ This week we have some actual evidence...
Instagram is secretly testing a new chronological feed prototype with the “Latest Posts” feature which would act as a pop-up when you open the app and allow people to see the most recent content from the accounts they follow.

The pop up screen will have two options: “See posts,” which would show the recent posts you’ve missed, and “Not Now” which takes you to the standard home feed based on the current Instagram Algorithm.

While this possible new functionality is not exactly the same as the OG chronological feed, it does offer users an opportunity to control what they’ve missed.

It may take time until this prototype transitions into beta testing, however this is another reason for you to keep track of YOUR brand’s best times to post. If this feature becomes mainstream, posting when your followers are most engaged and using the app would be more important than ever.

Entrepreneurial burnout is REAL!

After all the hustle of getting your business off the ground and running, sometimes we burn through all of our fuel and try to run on an empty tank. 🔥 We get stuck in the grind, forget to dream bigger, platou in our forward momentum to evolve our brand, and lose the big picture.

Here are some ideas on how to realign your mindset and get you back to dreaming B I G:

✨Find your personal alignment and life balance. What happens outside of your business reflects in what you produce and provide.
✨Update your portfolio and brand copy. This will remind you of all the good you have created up to this point and excite you to do more in the future.
✨Amp of your marketing strategy and make sure that you are showing up for your audience.
✨Freshen up imagery with a photo shoot. Make sure it fits your brand personality, as oftentimes this changes over the years. Just like you need a new hair cut or color, so does your business.
✨Get new testimonials or share client stories. This proves that what you do works and will allow other future new clients to trust in what you provide.

Don’t let the hustle stop just because you’re off the ground. Remind yourself of the passion that started your journey. Break the glass ceiling you’ve made for yourself.

There are RIGHT and WRONG ways to do hashtags!

We all have heard how important it is to use hashtags to create more engagement, reach and impressions on our posts. However, we know that sometimes putting a million different hashtags can make a post feel less genuine and spammy on our feed.
Here are the latest hashtag hacks to make your content flow, while increasing engagement on your page without the hashtag overwhelm:

⚡️Add hashtags into the first comment. This allows your caption to feel more genuine.
⚡️Make sure your hashtags are relevant and specific to your products and community.
⚡️Add hashtags to your stories to help get your business traction to be on the explore page.
⚡️Hide your hashtags in your story so that you don’t look spammy.
⚡️Track your Instagram hashtag success with the “view insights” button on your post.
⚡️Add a few hashtags to your Instagram bio, such as your brand or product hashtag.
⚡️Use at least 12 hashtags to receive more engagement, but no more than 30.
⚡️Follow your favorite hashtags to keep track of competition and your community.

You did it! You started the business of your dreams, but you’re feeling lost on what’s next. An essential piece of brand success is creating business goals that you can follow through.

To start, you need to realize your future vision. What is that # 1 thing on your business bucket list? Well, you’re the boss so it’s time to make it happen. Once you can narrow down that vision, you can focus the right amount of energy to achieve it.

Next, set long-term business goals and write them down. That’s right! Write the 10, 5, or 3 key initiatives for your new brand and what you need to do to accomplish each. This will help create a timeline that you can visualize and feel less overwhelmed by. When coming up with those goals, be realistic with self-expectations to create achievable milestones. Tangible goals will help when imposter syndrome wants to set in or when you are feeling overwhelmed by a funk.

Lastly, share your goals with friends, family, peers, and basically anyone in your life. Why? Because this will be the many people that will hold you accountable for making your wildest dreams a reality. Truth is, you can't do this on your own, you have to bring in the reinforcements.

You’ve already done the hard part - started something awesome! Now it’s time to believe in your mission and enter into the “action phase” of your new venture.

Have you heard the rumors? Chronological feed may be making a comeback.

The current Facebook / Instagram algorithm shows all “news feed” posts based on their level of engagement and interest catered to your unique activity. It hasn’t been the most popular function since the original chronological feed was taken away from us.

However, Facebook is currently testing a new toggle method that would make it easier for you to sift through a couple variations on your news feed and have better control of what you want to see.

The three options would include your “most relevant”, “most recent”, and “already seen” sorting options.

✔️”Most relevant” is the current and default algorithm defined by Facebook today.
✔️”Most recent” would enable you to see the latest posts from the people and pages you follow in reverse chronological order.
✔️”Already seen” would enable you to go back over the posts you are already viewed which would be handy for finding posts you previously interacted with.

Although the current algorithm has helped increase and maximize engagement, Facebook is ready to try this new user-friendly approach! Double-tap if you are excited for this update. 👆👆

Instagram recently started a feature that will help keep better track of UGC (user-generated content) 🙌🏻 This feature tracks new mentions and finally makes it easier to stay on top of the relationships you form with your clients and followers.⠀

Rather than your IG story mentions showing up solely in your direct messages, there will be “Stories About You” section with and a “see all” option in your likes and comments section of the app. This feature is only for the stories that you are actually tagged in using “@” and your handle, not when a post of yours is shared via someone else’s story. This new function will make it easy for you to sift through mentions and re-share to your own stories. ⠀

Stories have become a valuable tool in the Instagram world. The key takeaway is that they allow you to have more meaningful relationships with your consumers ✨ Stories give you a unique opportunity to share less polished, more real-time content and have direct communication with your followers and customers by offering many interactive elements, like questions, polls, quizzes, chats and much more.⠀

This tool is a great way to showcase influencer partnerships and stay on top of them. Stories make it easier to share endorsements and reviews. They allow individuals to get a behind the scenes glimpse into a brand and form authentic relationships in a safe space. ⠀

Is your brand planning its social media content ahead of time? Or are you taking hours each day to think what to post, take and edit photos, write captions and find the inspiration to create something unique? If so, it’s time to change that!

It’s important to plan your social media ahead of time in order to keep your content strategy organized and efficient. As an entrepreneur or small business owner, it’s much tougher to try to “fit” this important task in your everyday and stay consistent.

If you don’t want to spend hours a day creating content, we suggest the following tips on how to plan your social in sprints and avoid burnout:

▪️ Create a visual identity board with photos, video, copy, gifs, fonts and colors.
▪️ Get to know your audience. Who are you talking to? What do they like?
▪️ Plan your feed 2-3 weeks in advance. This way you have a birds-eye view of your content.
▪️ Write and perfect your captions before you post. No more grammar mistakes and visual errors!
▪️ Stay on top of trends with a holiday calendar. Now you won’t miss a thing!
▪️ Know the best time to post based on your audience. Use apps like “WhenToPost” or Instagram Insights
▪️ Manage your collaborations and partnerships. Add all your collabs and UGC to one easy to locate “collections” folder.
▪️ Plan your Instagram stories ahead. This is just as important as your daily feed.

Now that you have the tools to plan ahead, pick a recurring weekly time slot, grab your computer, sit down for a couple hours and plan that content in one sitting.

Attention entrepreneurs ❌ It’s important for you to remember that as a business owner you have a niche and an edge over people who don’t know the details of your market. You’re doing what you do because you know more than the average person and you want to give back to those people.

Sharing your expertise and knowledge with people is gold on LinkedIn. The content you put out can inspire other people to reach their dream careers or become a part of your brand. The secret sauce to using LinkedIn to its fullest potential is knowing that LinkedIn loves two things, (1) when people click on a post and (2) when people stay on the platform.

In order for this to happen, you want to post and create content for LinkedIn that will appeal to a group of people who have the ability to make a difference for your brand - your core audience. This could be potential investors, new clients, new strategic partners or new employees. Creating messaging that speaks to the right person in your LinkedIn network could dramatically improve the results on your profile. Do not treat your LinkedIn page as a place where you simply crosspost your other content. Giving people value and quality content is the key to creating posts that matter and bring the engagement that you want as a business.

As the Super Bowl countdowns have begun, our local Florida brands should be thinking about ways to use this event to leverage business. This is especially the case because it will be in our backyard, Miami, Florida.

Although we think it is a great idea to use this event to your advantage, it is important to keep your marketing clear of claiming any affiliation with the game, unless you are actually a paid partner like big brands such as Best Buy, Brightline, and The American Cancer Association.

Here are the major DO’S and DON'TS for Florida businesses when creating content and promotions around the Super Bowl week.

DO’S
Use phrases like The Big Game or Game Day
Keep it generic when talking about football terms and themes you have in mind
You can use a players number when mentioning them
Most importantly, make sure you always add “Not an official sponsor of the NFL”.

DON’TS
Never use the words Super Bowl or Super Sunday
Team and players names should be avoided
Don’t include any logos that are not yours. Do not use NFL, Super Bowl or any team logos to help promote your business.

Thanks for the inspiration Social Thinkking on everything Super Bowl marketing. We are thrilled for you to be a part of the big event’s support team!
