I’ve started and stopped writing this post more times than I can count because, truthfully, this is a really hard one for me. 🤍
After a lot of thought, prayer, and some really difficult conversations with myself, I’ve decided that it’s time for me to temporarily close The Sassy Southern Stitchery and step away from Girl Boss Boutique for a while.
This little business has been such a huge piece of my heart for so many years. It started as something I loved doing and became so much more than I ever imagined. I’ve had the privilege of creating things for your babies, birthdays, first days of school, holidays, teams, teachers, families, and so many of life’s special moments. Knowing that something I made became a tiny part of your memories has always meant more to me than I could ever put into words.
And somewhere along the way, so many of you became more than customers. You became friends, familiar names in my inbox, people who cheered me on, shared my work, trusted me with your ideas, and continued supporting me year after year.
That’s what makes stepping away so incredibly bittersweet.
But if the last year has taught me anything, it’s that life is precious, time is something we never get back, and sometimes we have to give ourselves permission to put everything else down and focus on what matters most.
Right now, that’s my family and my health. 🤍
I need time to be present. Time to take care of myself. Time to pour into my husband, my babies, and our home without constantly feeling like I need to be somewhere else or finishing the next order. I know in my heart that this is what I need in this season of my life, even though walking away from something I love is incredibly hard.
I also want to say how grateful I am for Girl Boss Boutique and for the opportunity to be a part of something so special. I will forever appreciate the friendships, encouragement, opportunities, and memories that came along with being there.
To every single person who has supported my business over the years — thank you. Whether you placed one order or fifty, shared a post, recommended my name to a friend, stopped by to see me at the boutique, or simply encouraged me along the way, you helped make this dream possible. I will never be able to fully express how much that has meant to me.
All of my current orders will be completed and out tomorrow, and then I’m officially giving myself permission to close this chapter for a little while and simply be present.
I don’t know how long this break will be, and I don’t know exactly what the future holds for The Sassy Southern Stitchery. What I do know is that this isn’t goodbye forever. 🤍
It’s just me choosing to listen when life is telling me to slow down.
For now, I’m choosing my health.
I’m choosing my family.
I’m choosing to be present.
And I’m choosing the people and moments that mean the most to me.
Thank you for loving this little business right alongside me.
This isn’t goodbye… it’s just see you later. 🤍🫶🏼
