Trach Mommas of Louisiana was created to provide peer support to all who are medically complex, dependent upon technology to live or immune compromised. We do this through advocacy, support, resources, supplies, emergency preparedness and disaster relief.

⚠️ VOLUNTARY EVACUATION ISSUED FOR AREAS NORTH OF HIGHWAY 10 ⚠️

Parish President Jessie Bellard has issued a voluntary evacuation for residents who live north of Highway 10 due to expected flooding impacts. Residents are encouraged to take precautionary measures now and make arrangements to stay with family, friends, or relocate if needed.

A shelter will be available beginning at tonight, June 19, 2026:

🕕 6:00 PM

This shelter is available to help keep residents safe during the upcoming weather conditions. Participants are encouraged to bring a valid ID, medications, blankets, pillows, snacks, and other basic necessities.

Last week, Manning Family Children’s expert Heart Center team added another first in Louisiana and the Gulf South to the list of innovative procedures found within our cath lab. Our team, led by Dr. Alexandru Firan, MD, implanted the first Renata Minima stent, a first-of-its-kind stent system FDA approved for treating vascular stenosis in neonates and infants. The Renata Minima is tailored to treat infants and designed to be gradually re-expanded to adult sizes to accommodate a growing child. Congratulations to our Heart Center team for continuing to advance pediatric heart care, right here at home. ❤️
