April is recognized as Child Abuse Prevention Month, and today we were grateful to stand before the Caroline County Commissioners as they issued a proclamation in support of this important cause.
Every day, there are children in our community facing situations no child should ever endure. That’s why prevention, awareness, and early intervention are at the heart of the work we do.

This recognition is not just about one agency it reflects the collective effort of an entire community. From teachers and first responders to law enforcement, healthcare providers, and community partners, protecting children is a shared responsibility we all carry.

At the Caroline County Department of Social Services, we see firsthand how powerful it is when a community comes together to support families before challenges become crises. Those moments of connection, care, and action can change the course of a child’s life.

We are incredibly thankful for everyone who stands alongside us in this work. Your compassion, your advocacy, and your commitment make a lasting difference for the children and families we serve.

Tonight at Bayside Red Light Liquors 3rd Year Anniversary

We’ll be out tonight serving up the regulars along with our new March wild game specials. If you’ve been wanting to try something a little different, tonight’s a good night for it.

🍊 Golden Duck
Duck sausage with orange liqueur, topped with brie, orange marmalade, caramelized onions, arugula, and honey Dijon.

🥃 Royal Pheasant
Cognac pheasant sausage finished with Gruyère, sautéed onions & mushrooms, and pepper cream.

🦆 The Migrating Duo
One of each the bright citrus flavors of the duck paired with the rich, savory pheasant.

Whiskey Barrel Marinated Hotdogs.. okay, they’re not actually aged in a barrel… but they are getting a good whiskey garlic marinade.

Great day at the Community Center today! We spent the morning in a marketing meeting with our team, sharing ideas and planning for some exciting things coming up. We are streamlining how we go about production for newsletters, website, and social media objectives.

Afterward, Victor from Township Marketing, Communication Specialist Randei, and our intern Taylor stopped by Treasure Cove Thrift Shop to check out the new, expanded location ahead of the soft opening in the coming weeks. The space looks amazing bigger, brighter, and full of great finds!

There is so much endless possibilities here we can't wait to tell you about!
