Did you know that having low word counts on your pages could be hurting the amount of traffic you’re getting?⁣
⁣
Google lovesss words! The Google “robot” scans your site for words to understand what you do and who you are so that you can start showing up higher in the search results⁣
⁣
Anything less than a few hundred words is considered low word count. ⁣
⁣
My advice?

Aim for at least 1000 words on each page. Google will be happy- but most importantly so will your website visitors. They want to hear from you! ⁣

Why should you research keywords? ⁣

1. To get more quality traffic⁣
⁣
2. To understand what your ideal clients are looking for! ⁣
⁣
3. Many people ask, “how do I know which word variation to use?” For example: should my keyword be, “financial planner” or “financial advisor”. Hey IG! I’m Jen the person behind JLK Online Marketing. I’m excited to introduce myself and start sharing some of my tips for SEO, Content Marketing and Website Design!⁣⁣

But first I thought I should introduce myself: I’m the definition of a multi passionate person! I feel like I have had 1000 jobs before the age of the 35 and I’m just starting to appreciate how valuable this has been to finding my passion! My “Big Girl” jobs were in the financial industry. I worked on sales teams, marketing teams and client relation teams helping both large and small businesses. Although I enjoyed my time in finance, I always had a creative outlet on the side to keep me sane ☺️ ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
That creative outlet actually turned into my full time job once my husband joined the Army (since it was quite difficult to hang on to a corporate job when your life is always kind of up in the air) This was a plus for me, not a negative though. I have ALWAYS wanted my own business where I can make my own rules and determine my own success. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
My creative side business grew and fast forward a few years and my products were being carried in over 100 boutiques across the US. I absolutely LOVED the process of growing my business and realized that growing the business was actually what I enjoyed most. I enjoyed writing my email newsletters, building my website, my branding, experimenting with product descriptions to get more traffic etc. ⁣⁣

My passions and goals have shifted over the past 4 or 5 years and I’m SO excited to start this journey of helping other small business professionals grow their online presence with SEO, Web Design and Content Marketing and I can’t wait to start sharing tips ASAP!
