My 2026 brand photoshoot starts here.

Not with the camera.
With intention.

The first step is defining what these images need to accomplish, how they should represent JDM, and where they’ll live beyond the shoot itself.

This is the same strategy form I use with clients, now shaping my own shoot.

The vision comes first. The images follow.

We’ve worked with so many businesses that have multiple marketing partners, but sometimes those partners don’t communicate with each other.

We don’t know what they’re promoting. They don’t know what we’re working on. And sometimes, two partners are doing the same thing without even realizing it.

Your marketing should feel connected. The messaging, imagery, branding, campaigns, and goals should all work together.

Having multiple marketing partners can work really well. They just need to communicate, share what they’re working on, and understand the bigger picture.

Even when we outsource at JDM, we make a point to communicate with the other people involved in our clients’ marketing. It makes everyone’s work stronger and helps make sure we’re all moving in the same direction.

My brother’s getting married! My soon to be sister-in-law wanted to make an activity table so I offered to create a couple large coloring sheets that guests can fill in.

A good reminder for any business:

Your customers don’t typically work in your industry.

They don’t know the same terms you do or the ins and outs of your industry like you do.

Keep your marketing simple and easy to understand. Talk to your audience, not your industry.
