Life happened. DCFS, Addiction, Domestic Violence, Grief & Loss, Divorce, and Homelessness. Application of 12 spiritual principles, endurance, grit, and relentless mindset to find self-worth at 46 and to never quit. I soon learned how to choose to live in the solution or how to discover a solution. Problems kept me stuck, complaining which never solves anything. And for everyone that told me I needed to change my life and the irony of that statement never came with instructions but only led me further into my addiction. But principality prevailed and I made here, alive to tell this story. In 2017, I re-entered college as a BS Business Information Systems undergraduate at Ashford University to pursue a degree in Computer Science. Something about that school was not right. If you research, you will find that they had to repay student loans. In April 2018, I transferred to Colorado Technical University to study Cybersecurity, believing I'd land an entry-level college work-study program. No doors opened. Due to no experience. I didn’t know it, yet, I was about to build a door to enter IT to inspire young women to stop at nothing to achieve their dreams. In 2020, Covid-19 reared its ugly head, and the onset crippled my ability to continue providing residential computer repair services. Everything I had to learn in order to build my business is EXPERIENCE. Back end web development, networking, Microsoft Azure, Wireshark, you name it, I rolled up my sleeves to get the hands on experience. Well now I’m a boss. Do I really want to work for someone else only to receive a slice of pie. I have two pies in each hand to serve others that they earn a pie in each hand.
