My family always urged me to be in business management instead of following my dream.
The irony is that I am in business management. Seriously, though. I manage my own company. I am in business management except I've been building my own dream instead of someone else's.
50% . . . dang. That's rough. You get to choose if you invest in your dream or someone else's.
It takes guts to follow your dream because it could fail, it might not be what you thought (like most professional dance-it's for the birds, no thank you), or worse you could fail.
It's okay to live on the edge of your comfort zone. It's where growth happens.
