Jeff Kanan, a native of Denver, CO made a name for himself as a staff engineer at the world renowned Westlake Audio in Los Angeles for 7 years. Kanan learned exactly what is entailed in makin
g a major label Record and worked on multiple platinum certified records, gold records and other top level musical talent. During his time at Westlake Jeff engineered on major records for artists including Madonna, No Doubt, Kelly Clarkson and also worked with legendary producers such as Don Was, Josh Abraham, Tim Palmer, Rick Rubin and Randy Jackson. In 2006, Jeff decided to leave Westlake to take advantage of his resume he built at Westlake and went on to become a successful producer and engineer in the Los Angeles area. As an independent producer Jeff worked with such artists as Kingsley, Kantavius Jones, and Aviatic while also continuing to work with major label talent as an engineer. In 2010 Jeff Moved back to Denver and has since enjoyed working with a multitude of the top Denver talent as well as continuing to build his impressive discography by working with such artists as Matt Morris, Dispatch, The Swayback, and The Photo Atlas. As a co-founder of Consonance Productions Jeff finds himself in the perfect position to take his highly decorated resume and leverage it into making Consonance a high caliber music production company. Nick Sullivan Bio:
Nick Sullivan, a native of Steamboat Springs, CO has been quietly earning a reputation as a musical jack-of-all-trades in his homebase of Denver, CO finding success behind the console as an audio engineer/producer as well as a songwriter/performer. Nick started his music career in 2007 as the lead singer/guitar player for the blues rock 'n' roll band American Relay who gained a regional following that allowed him to tour the western US and thus begin his music career. In 2009 Nick turned his focus towards audio engineering and began to engineer and mix records with some of Denver's top music acts. From 2009-2012 Nick engineered on dozens of records including 3 Denver Post Top 10 local records of the year as well as 2 Grammy Nominations for his work on Los Lobos's "Tin Can Trust" record in 2010. As Nick's reputation and sonic resume began to grow he began to take the next step as an engineer/musician and began producing bands and recording artists including four songs from The Swayback's "Double Four Time" which was awarded best recording of 2012 by The Westword. In
2013 Nick started Consonance Productions with Producer/Engineer Jeff Kanan to serve as his vehicle for producing local talent as well as to further his own musical creations. Since starting Consonance Productions Nick produced records with more of Denver's emerging music scene including The Raven and the Writing Desk, Montropo, The Bunny Gang, Hanoi Apache, Jon Boland, Safe Boating is No Accident and Animals in Exile.
