Happy Monday!

Do you have big goals? I know I do!

I struggled for the longest time to actually get around to achieving my goals. It wasn't until I started implementing these tips that I actually made progress!

3 Tips for Tackling Your Goals:

1. Break down your goals into smaller actionable steps.
- Depending on how big the goal, I often work backwards and think about what step comes right before the big end goal and then so on and so on. Think about the actionable step that you can take now. If it is not a step that you can tackle today, it isn't small enough. Examples: input meals into Google Cal, plan out social media posts for the next month, take headshots, compose an email draft, reach out to 20 people, etc.

2. Schedule out those actionable steps.
- Use an online calendar or a paper planner, if you carry one around with you. Make it easily accessible. Put all of those little action steps onto dates on the calendar, that way you hold yourself accountable and know what to focus on each day. It isn't enough to just break down the steps, you have to make sure you are getting them accomplished. Scheduling them is the best way to make sure that happens!

3. Celebrate your wins!
- This is the biggest one. When you have have put the action steps into the calendar or you have completed an action step, and especially when you have fully achieved the goal, it is so important to celebrate! It sends happy signals in our brain and we are more likely to push to achieve more goals! So, get a scoop of ice cream, drink a glass of wine, or open a bottle of champagne! You did it, celebrate it!

What goal are you hoping to achieve this week? Let me know! Let's celebrate your win!

Hello!

Hope you all had a wonderfully relaxing weekend!

I know I got some much needed rest as well as connection with some friends! Feeling much more excited about the week ahead!

Did my usual planning session this morning. I have been noticing that some of the items on my to-do list keep popping up and not actually getting done. So, those items have moved to top priority this week.

What are your goals for the week? What are you hoping to accomplish?! Let me know!

Happy Friday!

We made it through another week of social distancing! As Colorado looks to start opening certain businesses this upcoming week, I am looking forward to enjoying some drinks with my man out in public again!

I am taking today and tomorrow off completely. I got through almost all of my to-do list this week so I won't feel guilty about taking some time to rest and relax.

Taking the time to rest is crucial to running your business. Take a day or even just an evening to completely disengage from your work. Do something that refuels you. Read. Watch a movie that you have been wanting to see or already know and love. Make a cocktail with your partner. Go for a walk. Whatever it is, just do something that brings you joy!

What did you accomplish this week? Let's celebrate your wins!

to last summer when I chopped my hair and decided to look like a mermaid!

This was right before I left my job to fully dive into my own business! I definitely did one of those, 'you know, I'm gonna change my job, I should probably change my hair' kind of situations lol. No regrets at all!

I absolutely loved the length and the color! It gave me so much confidence too to go through with my decision and pursue my goals.

Does something as small as getting your hair changed motivate you? Am I the only one?

Let's take another look Behind-The-Scenes at Ashley Parnell VA!

Physical products are huge for me. That may be surprising considering my business functions only in the online space, haha!

Whenever I am planning out a new campaign or a new product/service or I'm taking an online course, I always write it out! I write my notes for the course out on paper, I get the basic ideas for a campaign written on paper, then I type it up, print it out and then write even more notes on the paper haha!

Both my Mom and my Grandma love paper so I think I inherited that love from them! I'm not complaining. Writing things out helps solidify ideas or thoughts for me. When I am trying to remember something, if I have written it down, I often remember how it looks on the paper and that helps it stick in my mind more effectively. Writing down my goals for the week, month, or day help me to visualize what needs to happen and I am better able to get it done. When I don't write it out, and only put it in my online calendar, most of the time it gets left undone.

How about you? Do you write things out or does that process seem to tedious/repetitive?

It's another Tip Tuesday!

Today let's talk about what I think is the number one way to gain followers organically.

Consistency.

So many times we (myself included) just post when we have time or when we feel inspired. That often looks like maybe 2 posts this week, 5 posts next week, and then 0 posts the week after that. Do you think that method of posting is effective? It's not.

By posting inconsistently, you are less likely to show up in your followers feeds because of how the algorithm is laid out. The less they interact with your posts, the less likely they are to see future posts. When you don't post regularly, you are not giving your audience the opportunity to interact with your posts.

When your audience is not interacting with your posts, not only does it make it less likely that you will show up in their feed, it makes you less visible to people who don't follow you as well. This also goes into making sure your audience is engaging with your posts, but we will go into that on another Tip Tuesday.

Ways to post consistently:
- Schedule out your social media posts. Use Google Calendar or some other online calendar service to schedule out the topics you want to post about.
- Use a post scheduling platform. After you know what topics you want to cover for the week, month, etc. build out the posts in a post scheduling platform that way you can have it automatically send out at effective times to reach your audience. Some platforms I like are: Buffer and Sprout Social.
- Take a little bit of time at the beginning of each month to plan out your posts for the month. The topics can change but this helps you not feel overwhelmed about not know what to post everyday. Planning out the subjects can take as little as half an hour, so don't stress about taking too much time to plan out your topics.

If you are unsure how to get started posting consistently or this sounds like a lot of work, shoot me a message! Let's chat about how I can help you get started or even just stop over and say hey!

What are you going to start doing today to start posting more consistently? Do you have any tricks to help you remember to post? Let me know! I would love to hear them!

Hope you have had a productive Monday!

My internet has been absolute garbage today so not nearly as much work got done as I was hoping but oh well. Hopefully it will be back up tomorrow!

I still managed to power through most of my to-do list so I still feel productive, yay! Still working towards the goal of taking Friday/Saturday off completely this week!

What is your goal for the week? How can I help?

Happy Sunday!

So sorry for the radio silence this week, some things got crazy and needed my immediate attention. I am back this week and ready to go!

Spent my usual time this morning planning out my week. I got a little more in-depth with it and really broke down each project into steps. I am going to be throwing them into my Google Calendar so that I have it all planned out and can actually take Fri/Sat off next weekend without feeling guilty.

I took a lot more time away from doing my projects this week than I wanted but when life gets in the way, you just have to roll with it, you know?

Did you get everything accomplished that you were hoping to last week?

What are you hoping to get done this coming week?!

Leave a comment below or send me a DM and share your wins! Let's celebrate!

Missing hanging out at my favorite taprooms! Until we can get back to celebrating Friday with friends at our local haunts, cheers from my couch to yours!

What are you up to this weekend? Any fun house projects? How about a specific Netflix marathon? I will be hanging out with the hubby, most likely with some video games and whiskey drinks.

Stay healthy!

Let's start something.....

Tip Tuesday!

Every Tuesday, I will bring a new tip to your feed. Something to help you in marketing tactics, in building your online community, it escalating your social media efforts, or an area that you should focus on that would help you see growth.

Today I want to talk about your Instagram Bio.

So many people leave it to the last minute or they ignore it altogether. Your Instagram Bio is your best salesperson. If you do not have the right info in your Instagram Bio, you will discourage potential clients, you will confuse people, and thus not build the online community you are looking for. So here are a few tips to adjust your profile to build an online community you can be excited about.

- Business Profile: Make sure your profile is a business profile. You can find this in your settings. It's free to change it from personal. It helps people find you and engage with you as a business.

- Services/Description: What do you do? Narrow it down as much as possible i.e. Social Media Manager, Virtual Assistant, Stylist, etc. Let people know what you do, that way they know how to engage with your business.

- Website: Make sure your website is listed. You always want to draw people back to your website. Always. Where can people buy from you? Typically your website, so you want to focus on that!

Overall, make sure your Bio is clear and concise. You want your bio to sell for itself. If you are unclear, you will not reach nearly as many people and thus not get the same amount of sales.

What tip will you implement in your Instagram bio?

Unsure of how to go about fixing your Bio? Let me know! I would love to answer your questions!
