Coming in with our beginner mistakes roundup! We've been doing social media for years, and these are a few things we learned along the way.

01- If you're trying to grow on social media but aren't paying attention to how well your posts are doing, how will you be able to know what content you should post in the future? Take note of what style content performs best-- then create more content like THAT.

02- We all love followers. But what good is a million followers if none of them are seeing your stuff? Make sure you're looking at reach, impressions, views, and other analytics that show you who is ACTUALLY looking at and caring about your content. 50 engaged followers are better than 1000s who don't care.

03- Yeah, we all know posting more is probably better. BUT NOT when your content quality starts to slide downhill! If you're a business, make sure you have quality content that answers questions customers or clients may not know about you or your product. Those questions should be answered in the top 9 posts of your feed at all times- so nobody has to go digging for it!

04- When IG or TT launch new features, USE THEM. Algorithmically, these platforms are going to favor users who are utilizing new features. This is because they want those features to be successful and widely used! Makes sense, huh?

05- Oh, girl. Gone are the days of creating content every single day and posting it manually. Spend 1-2 days creating your content for the MONTH and then schedule those (using an outside source OR Instagram's new scheduling feature) to be posted! That way you can focus on engaging with your audience, and doing whatever else you love to do on the daily. 😏

06- This is a biggie. We all love creating content based around us. BUT if you're not thinking of what your idea customer/follower would like to see... chances are you won't grow as fast.
