Since our founding, we have had a policy of no formal stratification titles. No VPs or SVPs. No Junior this or that. Just, at the most, a category of proficiency.
One of the reasons was to remove barriers in client meetings. To light a fire under "senior" people to earn their worth daily. And to liberate "junior" people to contribute to their highest ability, without preconceptions from clients based on a title.
Looks like we were onto something.
