Anyone who knows me knows I'm not exactly a Vegas fan. I just don't understand why it takes 44 minutes to walk .13 miles ๐Ÿ˜‚

But this week I'm heading to ISC as a business owner for the first time, and everything feels different. โœจ

Just the freedom to show up on my terms, connect with the people I want to connect with, and soak in an industry I've loved for 25 years.

Starting this week at ISC West in Vegas, then two new client on-sites, a marketing planning workshop with a current client, and wrapping it all up with a week in Jamaica with Drew. ๐ŸŒด

Oh, and the day-to-day doesn't stop either. My clients always come first, no matter what time zone I'm in!

I did not plan for all of this to line up at once. But when clients, industry events, and a much-needed vacation all land in the same stretch? You just go. ๐Ÿ’ช

Six weeks. Three phases. One complete marketing playbook.

1๏ธโƒฃ It starts with discovery. I dig into the brand, the competition, the customers, the digital presence, the team. I interview stakeholders, review data, and map the customer journey. I need to understand the business before I build the plan.

2๏ธโƒฃ Then comes the strategy. Messaging architecture, brand positioning, content pillars, customer avatars, KPIs. Every piece built to work together.

3๏ธโƒฃ Then the activation roadmap. 90-day plan, campaign briefs, marketing calendar, resource and budget recommendations. Clear direction with timelines and accountability.

When a client gets that playbook, they have everything they need to move forward with confidence.

We got married on Leap Day 2012... and yes, we celebrate every year! (Everyone always asks ๐Ÿ˜„) On non-leap years, 3/11 is our day. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Over the past 15 years, I've traveled a lot for work. I've missed birthdays, anniversaries, and special moments at home. One year, my colleagues literally printed my husband's face on a pillowcase for me because I was on the road for our anniversary. ๐Ÿ˜‚

And not once has Drew ever made me feel bad about it. He's been my biggest supporter through every career move, every trip, every late night. ๐Ÿฅฐ

This year? No meetings. Light work day. We're heading downtown tonight for Denver Restaurant Week for a five-course meal... and doing another one Saturday at our favorite restaurant.

Before I touch a single strategy doc, I need to understand what's actually happening... not just what the website says.

That means a discovery questionnaire. A deep dive call. Sometimes flying in for an on-site visit before I even start.

It's not the glamorous part of fractional CMO life. But it's the part that makes everything else work. I also LOVE learning about the business, its goals, and why I'm here.

My new client's brand literally has HEART in the name. ๐Ÿ’œ

Last week I signed a new client for a 6-week strategy development project, and when I tell you this one felt meant to be...

The brand has HEART in the name. I'm a marketer at HEART. So obviously I had to throw on my heart sweater, snap this photo, and send it to my client right after the contract was signed. Because that's how I celebrate new partnerships... with on-brand enthusiasm. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿค—

What makes this even more special? This client is a friend from high school who has absolutely crushed it in the blog, creator, affiliate, and now product space. Watching her build her business over the past 15+ years has been so inspiring, and now I get to help take it to the next level strategically. ๐Ÿ™Œ

There's something really cool about working with people who already trust you, who you already believe in, and whose brand story you're genuinely excited to help shape.
