Those punches look like they would hurt a lot! Too bad you couldn't hit me with even one of them!
I wanted to play around with the idea of the Phoenix for this Ling Xiaoyu session with and I couldn't be happier with the result. This is definitely one of my favorite shots for the year so far.

Sports season is heating up! I'm keeping it pretty chill and close to home this season, so if you want me somewhere, let me know!

I had an absolute blast working with Elite Sports and Playbook Sports to cover their weekend at Empower Field.

Next up I've got some Muay Thai at the end of the month. Then rodeo season starts for me.

I always have such a wonderful time working with and this golden birthday shoot was no different. The creative vision was amazing, which meant I just got to play around and make her look pretty, and fierce. Pretty fierce if you will.

Retouching headshots isn't about changing who you are to fit some sort of magazine standard. It's about making you look polished, and the most like you, you can be. I smooth out any blemishes or wrinkles (while still leaving them there so you are still authentically you), remove flyaways, smooth or remove wrinkles in clothing, remove distractions in the background, and do a bit of dodging and burning to keep that focus on your eyes.

Things that go bump in the night.
Finally finished up my ghost portraits and it was hands down one of my favorite projects to date. So challenging but so rewarding. Can't wait to share more from this series.

I feel like I've pretty much hit the ground running since I got back from my annual reset, and it's been compounded with my cat's illness needing so much attention. I think we're both finally settling back into the groove.
Speaking of groove, check out some of these photos from Radiant Drive and that I was able to capture at their gig at The Goosetown Tavern at the very start of the year. This was my first official concert gig and I definitely had plenty of fun playing around with effects.

I had the wonderful opportunity to shoot at Ball Arena again last month. This time for basketball. The games between semi-pro teams Denver All Stars and the Colorado Warriors (men), and The Elite 8 and Colorado Phoenix (womens) were so fun to watch. This was my first time shooting a basketball game, but once I got the rhythm of the game, I had so much fun capturing the epic moments.
