Pizza isn't just a meal it is for a great cause. Tomorrow dine in or order online at and for Dough Co Pizzeria, 2330 University Avenue, Des Moines, Iowa from 11-am to 8pm, Thursday, July 25th-2024. 1.How many of my family and friends have had police/family of those with special health concerns incidents that with support could have gone differently.

2. How many incidences have you as a family been involved in. How many of these ended in a positive manner and how many of these did not.

3.How many of my family and friends believe that interactions between police and those who deal with special health concerns need reassessing and additional supports, resources.

4.How many of my family and friends believe that police departments would benefit from Crisis Intervention Training.

5.How many officers do you believe need to respond to an incident especially when the situation may have high risk potential.

6.How many of you believe that additional training across the nation who are the police departments need to provide more training

Good evening! I'm Diane Thacker, a stay-at-home wife and mother of four sons. Three of my sons deal with anxiety, disabilities, and sensory health concerns. I am a social worker by profession and, in addition to that, the Founder of A-NOD Inc.

A-NOD INC provides resources to raise awareness, advocate, and aid those dealing with special health concerns in the presence of First Responders.

In today's world, effective awareness, advocacy, and aid are crucial to addressing mental health concerns during crises. A-NOD Inc. fills a gap by addressing the needs of individuals with sensory health concerns and First Responders.

A-NOD Inc. is unique in its mission to heighten situational awareness for families and First Responders.

I was moved by my godmother's experience when she was pulled over while driving. The officers initially thought she was drunk, and their approach was more out of concern than following procedure because of the A-NOD INC decal on her car.

National Chocolate Day is a special occasion dedicated to celebrating one of the most beloved treats worldwide. However, as Forest Gump said, sometimes one doesn't always know what's inside the box, making the pieces challenging for some.

Similarly, challenging are our anxieties disabilities, and sensory health concerns that our loved ones face during a crisis especially when our First Responders are present. Feeling "boxed in" our loved ones lack a support person at the point of first contact and may be unaware of additional services or accommodations that may be available to them during and until the outcome of an accident, domestic home concern, or traffic stop.

Thus our mission at A-NOD for Situational Awareness LLC and A-NOD INC is to provide support to first responders dealing with individuals who have anxiety disabilities and sensory health concerns. Concerns that we strive to lighten with our shared stories that strive to shed light on difficult situations, enhance the training and experience and ultimately improve their approach from the point of first contact to the outcome in terms of awareness advocacy and aid.
