Figured since the sun is finally shinin it’s about time i do a proper introduction 💫
Ascent Studio is a photography and film studio rooted in storytelling, movement, and emotion.
My approach is to allow a moment to be fully lived and permanently held. I observe rather than stage. I honor what is real instead of forcing what is perfect.
I was born and raised in small-town Iowa on a little hobby farm with horses, goats, and ducks. I’ve got the coolest family and somehow ended up being lucky enough to call them my best friends. Fun fact no one asked for: my go-to film camera is actually a gift my dad received when he was younger.
When I’m not working, I’m probably being a gym rat at / co-hosting / outside with my dogs, Finn + Draco.
Coffee order: miel latte, whole milk.�Death row meal: dad’s beef stroganoff w/ mashed potatoes, grandma’s strawberry pretzel salad, and a root beer float w/ homemade vanilla ice cream.
