"The barn has heard more prayers than most pews ever will." 🤍
As state fair season begins, that quote hits a little deeper. Behind every animal that walks into the ring are countless early mornings, late nights, sacrifices, setbacks, victories, and quiet prayers whispered in the barn when no one else was around.
This time of year has always been one of my favorites simply because of what it means to my family. State fair has always been more than a week on the calendar. It's where memories are made, years of hard work come together, and traditions continue.
This year feels a little different.
In just a few short days, the last of the two "Cherney girls" will walk into the Wisconsin State Fair as an exhibitor for the last time. I don't think that reality has completely set in yet, and honestly, the thought of it is enough to make you a little sick. While we're excited to see what the next chapter holds, it's impossible not to realize just how quickly this chapter has gone by.
So this year, I'm reminding myself to slow down. To soak in every walk to the barn, every conversation, every laugh, every show day, and every moment in between. Because someday, these will be the memories we look back on the most.
Here's to another state fair season. Embrace every moment, cheer a little louder, hug your people a little tighter, and don't forget to look around every once in a while. It all goes by faster than we think. 🤍🐖📸
