Listen… I get it. Life be life-ing. 😂

But if your social media strategy is “I’ll post when I feel like it,” your audience is confused, the algorithm is confused, and your business probably is too.

Consistency & frequency matters more than people want to admit.

You don’t need to post every five minutes. But you do have to show up somehow, somewhere, because people can’t connect with a brand they never see.

And if showing up consistently feels impossible right now… that’s usually a sign you need systems, support, or both. 🤷🏾‍♀️

You’re inconsistent because you’re busy. But marketing can’t only happen when you finally have a free minute, and let’s be honest, sometimes those minutes never come.

The brands actually growing aren’t winging it on holidays. They have a plan, systems, and a team making sure they show up whether they had time that week or not.

So if social media keeps living on your “I’ll get to it” list, it might be time to stop doing it all yourself.

When I tell you this advice rewired something in my brain. I think about it every time I catch myself trying to minimize what I’ve done.

The shrinking is so automatic we don’t even notice we’re doing it. It’s the little disclaimer before the accomplishment. You know what I’m talking about. The “I just,” the “kind of,” the “it’s nothing really.” We’ve been trained to make ourselves small so nobody feels some type of way about our success.

But when you own the things you’ve done, two things happen. It tells the right people why they should trust you. And it weeds out the ones who were never going to support you anyway.

Your content does the same thing. When you actually claim your results instead of tiptoeing around them, the right clients recognize themselves in it and they reach out.

“Just be consistent” gets thrown around like it means the same thing for everybody. It doesn’t.

I post every day. But I also do this for a living, I have a team, and I’ve been at it long enough that it’s second nature. That’s a specific stage. If you’re running a whole business and trying to match that on top of everything else, you’ll burn out chasing a standard that was never built for where you are.

In the beginning, consistency might be once a week. A little further in, a few times a week with a real plan. What it looks like for me after years of this is not what it should look like for someone two years in. Comparing yourself to the wrong stage is how people end up quitting.

So be honest about where you actually are. What does consistency realistically look like for your stage right now? 👇🏾
