Kids Culture Day: Buhe Celebration Celebrated at the Embassy of Ethiopia, Washington DC.
Buhe as a kids culture celebrated with great gathering at the Ethiopian Embassy yesterday Sunday, August 18, 2019. The festival reminds one of a custom.
The main attraction of the Buhe Festival in Ethiopia is the songs of the small boys - Hoya Hoye. Bands of small boys wander from house to house, singing and jostling until they are given some money or fresh mulmul special bread prepared for the holiday). And the festival, which takes place during the rainy season, is one of the most anticipated holidays by young boys.
At yesterday event Wayne Rose, Matt Andrea, Tiffany Lancaster, Yesewdeg Getachew were among the speakers on buhe, culture, and love among others topics.
The Sunday school kids from Re'ese Adbarat Debre Selam Kidist Mariam Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church was the highlight of the event.
Asegedech Kidane, China, Lali Difo Dabo and Zeni Ethiopian Resturant and Market were the main supporter of our event through donating Mulul and difo dabo.
Yibekal Guta, Mahlet Assefa A, Meseret D Gifawosen, were among the leading volunteers. Yibekal was doing DJ yesterday.
Hirut Habesha was great supporter and videographer of the time at the event.
At the event Yibekal Guta ,Matt Andrea and Matt Andrea Photography were contributed a lot for the event success.
