Dear Overthinkers… Let’s Talk.
If you’ve ever spent 20 minutes deciding between two fonts… or rewritten the same headline eight times (only to go back to the first one), this one’s for you.
Here are our tips on how to keep creating without letting overthinking win:
1️⃣ Trust Your First Instinct – Your gut is often right. If the first draft feels good, don’t sabotage it with endless tweaks.
2️⃣ Create, Then Critique – Separate the creative flow from the editing stage. Breaking it up will prevent you from feeling overwhelmed.
3️⃣ Limit Your Options – Too many possibilities = paralysis. Pick your top 2–3 and choose from there.
4️⃣ Break Big Decisions into Small Steps – Focus on one micro-decision at a time instead of the entire problem.
5️⃣ Set a Decision Timer – Give yourself 10–15 minutes to make a choice. Done is better than perfect.
6️⃣ Step Away from It – If you’re still stuck, get up, take a walk, switch your focus. Sometimes all you need is a brain break.
Creative work thrives when it’s allowed to breathe. So, set your thoughts free, and watch what happens.
