The Local The Wiregrass Local Is The Wiregrass Area's Only Free, Monthly, Hyperlocal, Culture & Events Newspap The Local is your free, homegrown entertainment source.

We incorporate events from art camps at Landmark Park all the way to a great late night experience. Whether you are a parent looking for something for the family or a college student that just wants to mingle, we have your idea of fun covered. We are geared towards the crowd that doesn’t just lounge in their free time. If you want to have the best time possible in the city of Dothan, then check out the upcoming event calendar in The Local. We have put together a definitive dining list to spark the interest of people who have never sampled some of the independently owned fabulous eateries but still want to discover the true taste of Dothan. The city is indeed full of corporate restaurants ready to deliver the same experience and recipes which are favorites around the country, but we would like to put a spotlight on the small proprietor ships that are doing things their way. This gives you a true sense of what a treat Dothan dining can be.
