We need your opinion! Which one? A, B, C, or D?

A little background on this project: Tetairoa McMillan of the Carolina Panthers asked us to create a personal logo for him using his nickname “NALO.” He also wears the number 4 on his jersey. Thus the number 4 as an illusion for the letter A in the name NALO.

The following are rough ideas that we put together after he gave us a little guidance on style and feel that he likes. He wants something strong and clean, and he also likes the Michael Jordan Jumpman logo.

Idea A: Simple, bold, and clean typography and incorporates the football laces within the negative space between the number 4 and the letter L.

Idea B: Again…simple, bold, and clean typography, but this one has his silhouette emerging from his number 4 (Jumpman logo inspired).

Idea C: An edgier and custom font treatment to give it more of an action feel and his silhouette added in to give the feel of motion.

Idea D: A more linear and edgy font treatment with a hidden cross formed within the negative space between the number 4 and the letter L to give a nod to his Christian beliefs.

So let us know what you think and which one you think should be his logo. We would love to get your vote!

2,500 Instagram followers. That may sound small to many, but it is amazing to us over here. The community is growing. My wife and I are truly thankful, and we thank you for being here.

So you know I had to create a custom logo for this auspicious milestone. I simply took the 2 - flipped it and turned it - to create the 5. Simple yet balanced.

If you’re new here, we post about the creative and design work that we do for others. I’m taking all of the lessons I’ve learned in my 24-year career and sharing with you all via reels and posts. I hope we can help out a few of you!

I truly enjoy what I do. I recently had the opportunity to redesign the HBCU Hoops Invitational logo. I wanted to create a brand mark that has a strong presence and elevates the event, the organization, and the mission.

As the HBCU Hoops Invitational aimes to be a leading force and event for HBCUs across the United States, the logo and language embody that as well. The logo is strong, modern, global, regal, and sets the scene properly for the company and main event.

The new logo utilizes the crest and ribbon concept from the previous HBCU Hoops Invitational logo. Bold and thick fonts give it a solid sports feel and excellent readability. The basketball is the main focal point to clearly illustrate the sport and the hoops invitational. I also kept the graduation cap and the state of Florida, but them more of a secondary element to give the total logo more balance and visual hierarchy.

Thank you to Realty Marketing Group and Reginald Parks for your partnership and having me aboard for this opportunity. It was a joy to work on this.

I was so excited to take on this project for my friend, Sia. But as I worked on it, I began to get even more excited for the individuals who would be participating in this Masterclass from Frames For The Future.

The beauty of what I get to do as a designer is that I get to learn. I learn from my clients what it is they actually do and how they do it. And some of my best friendships to this day were formed from “a design job.” They say the Lord works in mysterious ways. Well, I can confirm that, and I’m thankful with how He is stirring me and shaping my company and the people He is placing in my life.

With that being said, thank you and for having me aboard and entrusting me with your creative needs and vision. It speaks volumes, and I don’t take it lightly. I have a feeling that this upcoming masterclass will be a huge success and more so than you can imagine. Keep being the light and pouring into others.
