WE’RE GROWING OUR TEAM!

Bluegrass Drone Solutions is looking to add another motivated person to our team.

This position would start as part of our ground crew, working alongside our pilots during agricultural spray operations. However, we’re looking for someone who wants the opportunity to learn, grow, and take on more responsibility within the company.

The right person will have the opportunity to learn:

• Agricultural drone operations and ground support
• How to operate and eventually pilot spray drones
• Drone maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair
• Deer recovery operations using thermal drones
• General drone operations and technology
• Equipment setup, mixing/loading, and jobsite procedures
• Other areas of the business as we continue to grow

Having your FAA Part 107 license is a plus, but it is NOT required. If you’re interested in becoming a licensed drone pilot, we can provide the study material and help you work toward getting your Part 107.

We aren’t necessarily looking for someone who already knows everything about drones. We’re looking for someone who is dependable, willing to learn, mechanically inclined, comfortable working outdoors, and interested in agriculture, aviation, or technology.

This could be a great opportunity for someone wanting to get into the rapidly growing drone industry and gain hands-on experience with commercial agricultural and thermal drone operations.

Experience around agriculture, equipment, electronics, mechanics, or aviation is a plus.

When most people see our drones at work, it’s usually over corn, soybeans, or pasture. This weekend, we took things in a different direction and knocked out a chestnut orchard.

The J150 did a terrific job following the terrain and adjusting to the different tree heights, maintaining the exact height we wanted above the canopy throughout the application.

We also slowed our speed down to accommodate a much heavier application rate than we typically run. The J150 handled it without missing a beat.

Jobs like this are a great example of just how versatile spray drones can be. From row crops and pastures to orchards and specialty applications, we’re continuing to find new ways to put this technology to work.

Fungicide season may be coming to a close, but more pasture spraying is just getting started!

The J150 and our 3, DJI T40 drones pushed through this summer to knock out more fungicide spraying than we expected! Thank you to all of our customer so far.

From pasture spring/fall, and fungicide in the summer, we have been busy. We also want to thank all of our deer hunters for having us come spray their food plots! Small jobs for us add up to big acres when you get enough of them. . If you have a food plot that is getting taken over for weeds or needs alittle boost, we can do that as well.

We also couldn’t do this with all the guys that have helped us keep these drones filled up and being our visual observers as our ground men.

If working with drones, being on our ground crew, potentially being a pilot, and learning the ins and out of how to repair drones, feel free to reach out to me and we can see if you would be a good fit to join our team. This is seasonal and pretty slow in the winter, but that doesn’t mean you can’t upgrade our drones, fix them, and help us with demos!

One question we hear pretty often: "Can drones replace every sprayer?" The short answer is no. What they can do is solve specific problems: fields that are too wet, timing is tight, and/or the standing crop needs protected. Drone application gives growers another tool to get the job done.

It’s been a busy week here at Bluegrass Drone Solutions! With fungicide season in full force we have been knocking out acres from sun up to sun down.

Thankful for our great help to keep the drones in the air and drones filled up. Also a big thanks to all the customers who trust us to get their crops sprayed. Our schedule continues to get busier, but if you need anything sprayed, don’t hesitate to reach out to see if we can get you on the books!
