When you focus on the essential design elements and invite white space, you’re able really let your branding stand out and give focus to what you want to communicate to the user, whether that’s selling a product/ service or influencing a desired action.

Even though minimal design looks less involved, it doesn’t mean that it takes less effort. Minimalist design goes through multiple rounds of iteration to find the most impactful visual. 💥

One of my favorite parts of the brand is the ‘Northwoods’ type in the logo. I customized a few of the letters to create a more unique and memorable look.✨

Magazine ad for 🐚

I had to share this design because I absolutely love how it turned out 🤍

With smaller print ads, it’s important to not clutter the space with type and imagery and instead, focus on what the main purpose is. For this ad, we wanted to get across the elevated mood of the store while announcing the grand opening. This is why we used a single, zoomed in photograph to capture the mood which also gave a great setting for the copy to shine. ✨

Outdoorsy, refreshing, and modern moodboard. 💫

Combining an earthy color palette, serif fonts, and thick, clean lines creates a polished yet inviting mood.

The moodboard stage in the branding process is one of my favorites because not only does it start the visual process, but it also represents what feelings you want your brand to evoke in your audience. 🧘‍♀️
