We have had the pleasure of working with Heartwood Preserve for over 10 years, beginning with just an idea and a sweet little pinecone logo.
Today, they're featured in this Tampa Bay Times story.
Heartwood is a 41-acre conservation cemetery in New Port Richey where founder Laura Starkey has spent nearly a decade helping people return to the earth without embalming chemicals, concrete vaults, or a five-figure funeral bill. Green burials have roughly quadrupled nationally over the past decade, and Heartwood is right at the center of that shift.
Here's what we love about wins like this - you can't buy this kind of coverage. No ad spend gets a reporter to independently decide your story is worth 1,500. Earned media works precisely because it's earned.
That's what excites us - finding the story worth telling, finding the reporter who'll want to tell it, and doing the quiet relationship-building in between.
Congrats to Laura Starkey and the whole Heartwood Preserve team.
Got a story sitting in your business that nobody's telling yet? We'd love to talk to you about it!
